I noticed that towards the beginning of Empire, one of the characters said "My head a-splode." I'm pretty sure this phrase originated with Strong Bad on homestarrunner.com. I wonder if Card is a fan...

It's been used here on the board a number of times in the past (originating from Strong Bad emails), so he may have seen it here or at any of the number of boards around the web where it's used in response to a convoluted post.
If he has seen HSR, I'd love to read about it in Uncle Orson Reviews Everything.

I noticed that when I started Empire as well. I just wrote it off as him hearing it on the internet somewhere, not just the original Strong Bad stuff. Much like Dag though, I'd love to read about it in Uncle Orson Reviews Everything if he has watched the HSR stuff.
