A friend of mine was looking over the history of the SCA group in Salt Lake City, and found this-- apparently there was a fellow known as Friar Orison Caird who helped with an event at the Castle in Provo.

I'm curious if the Cards still do anything with the SCA. I'm involved with the Shire of Arrow's Flight in Provo, and some of the older members might remember them from their SLC days.

We did a little with this group when we lived in Utah in the late 1970s. If you read through the history of the organization of the group and those involved -- lots of them have the last name Spencer. All the Spencers are Scott's cousins.

Robert de Spencer still plays -- I don't know him personally but I've heard of him and seen him around at events. Thanks for humoring me -- It's nice to know that people I appreciate are even cooler than I'd originally thought. [Smile]

Oh, yeah, the Spencers. I was almost not related to them by marriage. I think they were the first people I heard calling OSC "Scott" all the time.

Hatrack is full of awesome people. [Big Grin] Most of the world may find SCA steadfastly uncool, but here, it makes you cooler.

I love Hatrack.
