i know i'm just being petty but i feel like it's worth pointing out to the other obsessed readers like myself:
i know it's in chapter 6 - when ender and alai are supposed to meet in a corner of the battle room and the loser "saves farts in a jar." at the end of their banter alai says "i thought it was my socks" and ender replies "we dont wear socks anymore."
if this is taken as true then it puts a huge damper on the war of gifts story.

I think this has been noted several times before. I certainly noticed it, but really... they're just stories! Besides, maybe you only wear socks once you get into an army or something.
