Hi! I'm a huge fan of OSC and have been hauling around a fairly large collection of his writings as I've moved around through an undergrad degree that included a variety of co-op placements.
On one of my placements I was lucky enough to live in a big city and was able to round out my collection by visiting both regular and used bookstores. I found some copies that I never thought I'd see (Hot Sleep and A Planet Called Treason), but some of his work still escapes me.
Does anyone know any good places to get out of print books? I'm a little leery of online shopping, but if a place comes highly recommended i'd consider it. I'd like to find the paper back editions of the short stories that appear in Maps in a Mirror (I have the Changed Man).

By the way, I counted my collection last night: 84 books written, co-authored, or edited by OSC. This includes the graphic novels based on Red Prophet, Wyrms, Ender's Game, and Ender's Shadow.
That's quite an impressive body of work.

I've never looked at graphic novels before. Are they basically long comics? Would a local bookstore normally carry them, or will I have to find them on-line?

I still have a long list of things to get. (heck, I haven't even had time to READ the last three OSC writings I purchased).

I haven't had a problem buying used books from Amazon. But I haven't looked for any in pristine condition, if that matters to you.

Barnes and Noble carries the OSC graphic novels. They are hardback (or sometimes trade paperback) collections that contain anywhere from 5-10 comic book issues.
A few years back, for instance, OSC wrote a comic book series called Ultimate Iron Man. You can purchase the series in two hardback volumes: Ultimate Iron Vol 1 (issues 1-5) and Ultimate Iron Man Vol 2 (issues 6-10). Each volume runs about $20 new; you can sometimes find them used on ebay for about half price.

Of course, OSC has written plays, dissertations, audio scripts, poems, essays, articles, etc. that I've never read and don't own. I've only purchased books that were widely published and made available. I'm sure there are some real completists out there who have a lot more than I do.
