Is this a novelization of the comic series "Formic Wars?"

Looks like "Earth Unaware" is a novel by Mack Reynolds written in 1966.

I don't think so...(well, yes, it is, but it also seems to be something else)

I'm curious to know what the process is here - I assume OSC doesn't have time to write the book alone, given the Pathfinder and Mithermages series, not to mention his manga collaborations and Shadows in Flight (and hopefully Shadows Alive?), and Rasputin and something else...

Wow, that's a lot.

Still. Inquiring minds wish to know - how does OSC write a book with someone else?

Unless you heard something recently...Rasputin is dead a long time ago and will never rise from the grave to seek brains!

Yeah, I've accepted the fact that we will never see Rasputin as well. Which is fine. I'd rather have those and the final Alvin Maker book.

OSC has done a few books with other authors. It sounds like (if I remember right from the last time I heard him speak) that they write chapters back and forth and spend some time collaborating.

Wow, no matter how much I follow the news on upcoming books he manages to slip one past me. I had never heard of this series. And I just spent the last year finishing all the Enderverse books too. Now there are two more coming out with more to follow. I sure hope they are good, I have been wanting to read his other books.

OSC and Aaron Johnston have collaborated on the Formic Wars comics and novels. The first novel is based on the story of the comics -- but greatly expanded. OSC is also in the process of finishing Rasputin with Kathryn Kidd.

Rasputin is getting finished with Kathryn Kidd??? Wahoo, hip, hip, horray, and all that good jazz. [Big Grin]

How does the guy find enough time in the day to keep up with all of these projects?

0_o Wow. I really never thought that that would happen. What prompted them to return to the project after all these years?

I'm so excited to read a treatment of Rasputin. He's such an interesting character.

I need to reread Lovelock now.
