Hello... I have been in the middle of re-reading these books again, and I have been going at quite an astonishing rate. However, I remember reading an idea, which I believe was a quote from Graff to Ender about he was responsible for what happened to the Formics, but he was not to blame. Something along those lines. I was having a discussion with a friend not too long ago about fault and responsibility, and I remember this being a good quote.

I believe it was in Ender's Game, and I had marked it in the book by folding the page, but I returned it to the library and can't remember for sure if it was from Ender's Game or not. I can't see it being in any of the other books. I don't think it was Ender in Exile either (but I may be wrong). Does anyone remember this conversation or quote, or where it may be?

"You had to be a weapon, Ender. Like a gun, like the Little Doctor, functioning perfectly but not knowing what you were aimed at. We aimed you. We're responsible. If there was something wrong, we did it." --EG

If that's not it, then I'm not recalling the conversation you're talking about. There was a conversation between Graff and Bean in Shadow, I think, but I don't have a copy of Shadow handy to check.
