I would like to know- was the character Bingwen in the prequels to enders game- also one of the survivors of the war that Ender meets in "Ender Exile?" ...

Interesting question. On the one hand, Bingwen will probably still be too young to serve in the military when the Second Invasion happens, which puts him at the perfect age to be in one of the fleets for the Third Invasion. On the other hand, it seems like his character is there partly to give others the idea for the child commanders and the Battle School, so I would more imagine him ending up either in a higher command than anyone in the invading fleets or in a role directly related to the development of the Battle School.
