Uncle Orson,

Sorry, though I'm a subscriber, I don't seem to have access to the Uncle Orson On the Fly forum, so I post this here.

After being too busy to read the column for over a month of work and travel, I'm finally catching up.

Your March 5th article on "About Time," after you started talking personally, was so meaningful, and so deeply touching, that just after a couple of paragraphs, I had to call my wife over and read it to her aloud. But when you started talking about Erin Louisa and Charlie Ben, I could hardly read aloud any more, my throat being constricted with emotion, though I forged on ahead anyway, only regaining composure near the end. What a moving and personal essay on life! Your column continues to be my favorite read, and you continue to be the favorite living person I've never met. I'm 58 years old, but I implore you to please out-live me in good health, lest I be deprived of my regular fix of your writing.

Selfishly yours,

-John
