In both the Enders Game series and the Mithermages series, there are mentioned basic units that make up all things. In Enders Game, they were philotes, single entities that extended infinitely in two directions and could have various levels of intelligence. In the Mithermages, they were prets, individual beings with various levels of power. Are these, in reality, the same thing, just by different names in different universes?
