Four pairs of gray cotton tube socks, mostly intact. Looking for two pairs of ankle-length athletic socks in good condition.

My socks are much more selective, thankyouverymuch! They don't look for relationships through crude personal-sock ads!

Posted by Rakeesh (Member # 2001) on :

And I wouldn't let my socks hang around with those sort of socks anyway. We do have standards. *sniff*

Posted by zgator (Member # 3833) on :

You only think your socks are selective. I've seen your socks down in the hosiery section of KMart looking for loose socks.

[Eek!] [Mad] That's outrageous, Zan! I'll kill you for insulting my socks' honor, Sir! *slaps Zan with a fancy dueling sock*

I challenge you to a duel!

<beats Rakeesh over head with gym sock that hasn't ever been washed>

<is amazed that Rakeesh's sock makes a pass at my dirty, nasty sock>

Told you so!

My sock would never deign to make a pass at your filthy foot garments, heathen! Have at you!

*starches up fancy dueling sock, wields it like a rapier*

Ah, so that's where all those missing socks end up!

HEHE! I don't know how I didn't see this thread!! It's hilarious!! It was on the last page, so now I'm bumping it up to the first page, so you people can continue where you left off...

*eagerly awaits the climax*

Somehow I don't think Narnia is going to be too happy to hear about this.

I have a pair of white knee-high trouser socks from Lazarus that need some escorts Saturday night.

Also, one wool monkey sock I found sleeping on a sidewalk grate in Cleveland, free to a good home.

[Wall Bash] Where do I keep getting all these SOCKS?!! [Wall Bash]

Moose!! You oughta be ashamed at the very thought!! *snickers* [Embarrassed]

I just want to say that I was way ahead of you, AFR. Seriously. Ask Dragon. I exchanged socks with her back in Febuary/March... or is it April? I even sent her a poem with the sock.

SELL! SELL! SELL!

Looking for dark (brown/gray/black) knee-high socks, natural fibers preferred. Willing to trade, variety of options (red/striped/girly/sweat, etc). [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

It is well known that my sock drawer contains an entrance to the lower regions of hell, so I do not think that many would be interested in them.

Papa Moose-->stop making me spit coffee on my terminal!!!! [ROFL]

Hey, Nathan, lots of people may have had the idea, but who capitalized on it? That's all that matters.

I have some nice (used) gray cotton socks from ShopKo. A drawer full of them. Great for cleaning up puke and other undesirable fluids when you don't want to use your dishrag. Very disposable.

Sound like a good exchange, CT?

Posted by ClaudiaTherese (Member # 923) on :

Ahhh, afr, but will they cover my knees? *interested

Posted by Papa Moose (Member # 1992) on :

<Edited for taste, because what I was thinking is not appropriate. It was funny, though.>

Sorry about your terminal, Erik, but I just gotta be me.

[No No]

They will indeed cover your knees, CT. Just maybe not your feet.

Can I short those ugly rainbow colored toe socks? I really don't like how they look.

And I also dislike purple socks.

Bad idea, T. Ugly rainbow socks (URSX) are at an all time low. They're way overdue for a rebound.

The entire HATRAQ Sock Exchange has seen a surge since it was discovered that Romans wore socks with their sandals. Overall, we have made lots of progress since the polkadot.com bubble burst.

Yeah, but only because Greenspan keeps lowering the price of cotton, and we all know that can't go on forever.

All the same, I stand by my advice on the ugly rainbow socks. Ugly rainbow socks were once the gold standard in this country.

I have this most unique pair of anklet socks, one is pail pink and the other pail blue. There was once another pair just like this one, but it was sucked into Narnia long ago. This last remaining pair is, therefore, extremely valuable to any sock portfolio.

I don't wear socks.

Suneun and I are having a yardsale tomorrow, and I want to sell some of my old socks. They're clean and not holey, but Suneun still thinks it's wrong to put socks in a yardsale. Some of them are really cute, though, and I don't wear cute socks with pictures on them.

What's wrong with putting them out there for people to buy cheap?

Posted by IndexCard (Member # 4585) on :

If there's nothing wrong with the socks, then there's nothing wrong with selling them. I mean, thrift shops sell socks, too, right?

I used to have a large selection of plain colours, but, like The Rabbit's socks, half of each pair disappeared into Narnia, and therefore I wore mismatched socks for about three years.

Now my socks (red and grey with silver crowns) do not associate with the riff raff of my old socks.

Posted by The Rabbit (Member # 671) on :

No Teshi, You don't understand. I didn't start with one pair of pale pink socks and one pair of pale blue socks. I bought tow identical pairs in one package. These socks were extremely loyal to their mates. I think the reason that the one pair left is because I would occasionally wear that two pink or the two blue socks together. [No No] They took this as an afront to their moral character and the one pair left me. [Cry]
