Soon, hopefully, since foobonic is down and unable to take on any more photoes, our good pal, Equae Legit will post my Jack Chick Parody, "The Mallows."
It made me laugh, I hope it will do the same for you.
But beware, if you don't like cabbage or nougat jokes, or think the peanut is sacred, stay away.
Wait! I got your parody up first! And it's at a non-profit site!

If I could only EDIT on the real deal it would save me sooooooo much time.
I had to print the pages out, then cut and paste then into a Photoshop file. It took a while, if only I could erase of the orignal, that's be a sweet swell.

silverblue,
It "seemed" funny, but I'm not familiar with the material you're paroding. It was a little abstract.
I thought fugu had a perceptive comment when he notes that according to Chick, acceptance of Christ is all you need for salvation; also according to Chick is a truly incredible truckload of other beliefs. Very contradictory.
Thor, pretty funny but I couldn't find the original.

They're something called .png files, which come from the Fireworks graphics program. There's apparently no other way to save them and I don't have another good graphics editor.
Posted by Hobbes (Member # 433) on :
Hmm, I've heard of .png files but I don't know anything about them. If they don't require any serve-side help then I can handle them, other wise your pretty much out of luck.

Hobbes
Posted by Jon Boy (Member # 4284) on :
If you're using Fireworks, you have to save the file and then export it as an image. Yeah, I know; it's totally ghetto. My advice: get a better image editing program.
Posted by sarcasticmuppet (Member # 5035) on :
My roomate thinks I'm nuts, I laughed so hard at Crow's baptism!
Posted by fugu13 (Member # 2859) on :
png is an excellent format. It stands for portable network graphics, and can be a drop in gif replacement, though it is (or rather, can be) many thousands of times more flexible and accurate.
It's just like any other online image format. The only quid pro quo is there is one major browser which does not support png alpha channels. Of course, that browser is IE. Luckily, gif-style binary transparency is fully supported.

I’m having a hard time getting over that appallingly bad representation of the Protestant Reformation. Makes me wonder how Jack thought Martin Luther stumbled across that Bible they’d managed to hide from everyone. After all, it’s not like he was a Roman Catholic priest assigned to teach Biblical Studies at the University of Wittenburg or anything.

Posted by saxon75 (Member # 4589) on :
Parodies are usually usually protected by fair use, although it depends on a number of factors, including the amount of the original work copied, whether the parody is being used for profit, and the amount of distribution of the parody. I'd say she's probably safe, should the issue actually come up.
