Once again I am in SoCal, hanging out with Hatrackers: LadyDove, saxon and his GORGEOUS wife, Moose and Rivka.

You all SO wish you were me.

Totally.

Can you truthfully say that there is anyone in the world who WOULDN'T want to be Ralphie? [Confused]

I'm so confused. Why do you state that which is an obvious, proven, universally accepted fact?

You just like the GLOATING, don't you! [Mad]

[Big Grin]

Just to be clear, my gorgeous wife and Moose are two entirely different people.

Glad you clarified that Saxon, I was lost there for a moment.

Saxon, I am glad you clarified that. I was beginning to wonder if there was something Papa Moose hadn't told me...

Well Ralphie, I'd love to stay and prove that I'm cooler than you, but I've got to go hang out with twinky, Pod, Jaiden, Ophelia and perhaps Thalia.

[Embarrassed] <--- Sometimes that face doesn't look embarrassed enough!

Ralphie, in the word association game your name came up. The previous post by me was "rack" and Feyd Baron responded with:

Ralphie (sorry, it's 3:15 and I couldn't resist)

Well, I'll admit that I'm jealous. Oh well, life goes on.

Like I said in the smilie thread, this one was made for Ralphie:

Wait, wait, wait.

If Ralphie is cool for hanging out with a group that included me [Wave] , then does that make all of us cool for hanging out with her?

[The Wave]

Shinda II was great!

rivka came by for a little while and gave a very interesting lesson on her religion. She was also a great sport about Paul's "who's on first" creative hearing.

Mike and Julliette (saxon and wife) were wonderful. Oddly enough, Mike is working at the same company as one of my favorite people. Julliette is sweet, gutsy, articulate and beautiful. She really should be on Hatrack.(Hint/Nudge) [Smile]

Papa Moose, Ralphie and Dan just feel like family.
Everyone knows Moose is brilliant and a terrific father who thinks that his wife it just about the most amazing person in the world. I didn't know he also has a wickedly subtle and hillarious sense of humor. Between, Papa, Ralphie and Dan, I had to hold my sides because they hurt from laughing so much.

Dan is also amazing. Charismatic, articulate and funny, he and Ralphie are the definition of the perfect couple. They are completely "in love" and "in like" with each other.

Ralphie.. well, what can I say. Her intelligence, common sense and sense of fairness, along with her ability to look for the best in people, has always inspired me through her posting style and content. Ralphie in person is all of that and more.

Love ya Toni. I just wish you and Dan lived closer.

Lesson? [Wink] Must be that teacher part of me . . . starts answering a question, gets carried away. [Big Grin]

Creative hearing? Hmm, I'm trying to remember what you could mean . . .

Can't believe I missed this. For some reason I thought it was on Friday.

I just got home from a very long "friend's departure" BBQ in T.O.

darnit.

Alas, that is unfortunately not the case, Zotto. In fact, I'm more than positive that when this guy sits down and contemplates his lot in life he thinks, "Well, damn, at least I'm not Ralphie."

Bob t. Lawyer - Okay. We tie for cool.

Pixie - You're right. I frequently AM prostrate. Very appropriate.

The SoCal Hatrackers - You guys ROCK. LadyDove - Thank you guys again for being so amazing hospitable. For letting us fiesta and siesta at your pad. We appreciate and love you guys. [Smile]

Scott - The Cult of Dan and Ralphie is built on a foundation of faith, spiritual enlightenment and sending us money. Lots and lots of money.

Hi, I am saxon75's wife, Juliette, formerly known to some as jsaxon.
Just wanted to say that Shinda II was a blast. Thank you LadyDove and Paul for your hospitality! It was wonderful to meet all of you that were there.
Toni, I had such a great time with you on the slide, thanks for the peer pressure!
[Party]

Yay! Juliette posted!

Dare I hope this is only the beginning...?

You should have joined us here in Canada.

We had myself, Pod, Jaiden, Ophelia, and Bob the Lawyer (as he's mentioned already).

twinky - Hopefully, at some point I will. [Smile]

I hope ot visit the SoCal clump in October.

and if things get worse here in the US, we may all be visiting the Canada clump!

By the way, Ralphie, while meeting them is nearly the pinacle of cool. How cool is this? Papa Moose & Mama Squirrel in OSC's new book!!!

I'll be in SoCal the weekend of the 23rd of August. Hmm...

maybe start own thread.

Ralphie needs a swirlie for coming to SoCal too early. [Cry]

I got some pretty good post-waterslide photos of Ralphie at the Shinda. I'll put them, along with the other Shinda pics, on foobonic as soon as I can get off my lazy butt and do it, but for now, you'll just have to make do with this.

Posted by saxon75 (Member # 4589) on :

I have to admit, I love seeing my wife in print. Although I do love just seeing her; she's real purty. [Smile]

Posted by Juliette (Member # 5484) on :

Thank you. I love seeing you too. I think this is a little too mushy though. We don't want to make people sick. And besides you're making me blush. [Blushing]

Mike - I seriously need to screen those shots before you start posting them all willy-nilly.

Jebus help you if you post a bad pic of me.

I should probably check with Juliette, too, now that I think of it. I don't think any of them are particularly scandalous, but I suppose it would be best to get the OK first.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell I'm linking it, but there is a VERY horrific pic of me in the SoCal Hatracker's Get-together album that has an extremely funny "story behind" it. [Smile]

Just remember to look at all the other Ralphie approved pics at least twenty times after to brillo-pad the image from your mind.

You know, Toni, I can't, for the life of me, even begin to figure out which picture you're talking about. I mean, there's one where there's something weird happening behind you, and there's one that includes your behind in the title, but I'd hardly call either of them "horrific."

Posted by Ralphie (Member # 1565) on :

The one with Emily Card strangling herself in the background.

I should make a link, but I can't do it. I just can't.

Posted by saxon75 (Member # 4589) on :

OK, so it ain't the best picture of you, but I still wouldn't use the word "horrific" to describe it.

::muses to self::

«What could I possibly gain by posting this link?»

::realization strikes::

«Oh, dear Lord, what could I lose?!»

Posted by Ralphie (Member # 1565) on :

Brettly - The "background story" was simply Emily strangling herself.

And here are the pics of the Shinda II that we have so far. (Christine - have yours come out yet? Lemme know. [Smile] )

Enjoy.

Posted by LadyDove (Member # 3000) on :

Ralphie- I haven't liberated them yet. Thanks for the nudge. I'll drop them off today, probably have them back on Wednesday.
Looking at your pics reminds me of how much fun we had. I'm looking forward to Kat coming out, but it won't quite be a Shinda without you.

Kayla- Sshhh, they don't know they're in the closet. They think that WE are in denial. [Wink]

Posted by Ralphie (Member # 1565) on :

I know, Christine. I'm really sorry I'm going to miss it. I'm almost tempted to try and figure out some way to get down there, but if it's the last weekend in August (it is, isn't it?) that's our OFFICIAL anniversary weekend.

She'll have a blast, though. But if she falls madly in love with you guys (which she undoubtedly will) you'll have to remind her that I have dibs on the extra bedroom when I finally move in. [Kiss]

Posted by LadyDove (Member # 3000) on :

::looks up hopefully::
Technically, Thursday Aug 21nd is not the last weekend in August. [Wink]
