Speaking of all the discussion about homosexuals, I thought it would be time for this segment:

(booming echo) Homosexuals in History!

There were many famous gay men in history, from Alexander the Great to Pharaoh Pepi II, and Leonardo da Vinci was one of them. His most famous portrait, "Mona Lisa," could also be considered a clever statement about his sexuality.

The name Mona Lisa is an anagram of two different Egyptian deities, Amon and L'isa (Isis being the Latin pronunciation). Amon and Isis were, of course, the male and female gods in charge of sexuality. The Mona Lisa is a cross between the two, and the smile she wears on her face isn't because she has false teeth (though in those times it was probably that way), but becuase of a little secret... [Blushing]

Anyway, Leonardo da Vinci thought it was hilarious, being overtly gay himself. He carried it around with him like I would a Far Side Gallery... [Big Grin]

If this is in any way incorrect, tell me. I dont want to be wrong [Embarrassed]

Hey there.

Everything is just 'gay' now, weird.

This has been tossed around for years as art history profs needed publishing credits to insure their jobs.

As far as I can tell, though, it's all just speculation. I don't think anyone has discovered the secret diaries of DaVinci.

It's also possible that DaVinci painted it as a joke, wondering how long it would take people to figure it out. Now that, I think, is closest to the truth. [ROFL]
