[Confused]

My brother was just diagnosed with Hemochromotosis. He requested several tests by name during his last physical. He kind of freaked the doctor out when he tested positive for the above. The doctor and the family are still scratching their heads trying to figure out why he requested this particular one. [Dont Know]

Everyone in the blood line apparently needs to be checked now, at every physical.

Anyone have any direct experience with this?

Tammy, it's a disorder that presents in adulthood, so I don't have any experience with it. But here's two emedicine articles:

The first one is more likely to be helpful, I think. Let me know if I can interpret anything for you. Let us know what you find out, too. (Maybe it would be good to make an appointment with your doctor when you go in to get the test?)

Hi Tammy, I don't know anything about what you asked, just wanted to say hello as I haven't seen you in a long time.

I hope all turns out well for you brother and the rest of your family. All the best!!!
