I know some have been interested in Voice Chat; Being that I run a server, and some from Hatrack tend to join it.

I came across a profile of this program on a news site.

Skype.

www.skype.com

Some features pasted from the site.

* Free unlimited worldwide phone calls to other Skype users
* Superior sound quality - better than your regular phone
* Works with all firewall, NAT and routers – nothing to configure!
* Friends list shows you when your Skype friends are online and ready to talk or chat
* Super-simple and easy to use
* Your calls are encrypted “end-to-end” for superior privacy
* Based on cutting edge peer-to-peer technology developed by the creators of Kazaa and Joltid

PS if you wonder about spyware / adware; I scanned before, and after install and found none With Ad-Aware 6.

Just thought I'd post a tidbit.

I didn't know there was a voice chat server for Hatrack that you hosted. I want in.

Haven't checked out Skype, but that might be fun.

Ever seen Singin' in the Rain?

Maybe there's a reason I don't like talking on the phone. [Razz]

hehe,

If your in chat with Myrrdin Fyre, you really can't tell, she's ever so silent, unless she coughs, or you say, I need to go.

:-P

BTW. it was with TeamSpeak and the server is at raven.keydisk.net

If anyone from Hatrack is interested, I've actually been working recently developing video/audio chat applications using Flash Communication Server technology. Works cross-platform, and is even fairly smooth on a dialup connection. Only requirement from the end-user is a mic and/or cam, and the flash 6 player plugin being installed.

Sorry, and I may just be a 'tater, but this:

doesn't help me much. I am probably doing it wrong, so could you post (or e-mail) explicit instructions? Thanks.

goto www.teamspeak.com
On the right, select TS2 Client (Win) Under Quick download,
Either Open it from the current location, or if you want to save it to open it later, save it.

once it is installed, Connect to my server.

It's installed, and has been for a while. What I needed was instructions on connecting to your server. I'll try to reach you in AIM later today. Thanks, Rav.

I have a compilation of 5 minutes of Myr giggling.

I also have BYuCnslr saying something that sounds a lot like "Give me the red banana's."

Course, with my computer it would take 10 hours to get it fully transferred to someones computer. Maybe I'll see if I can save it to a disk.

Save it to disk and bring it to me on Friday.
