I’ve always loved Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, but as my knowledge of the universe grew over the years, I found that I wanted to re-write it for my son:

Twinkle, Twinkle, great big star,
A ball of plasma’s what you are,
Long ago, and far away,
You sent to us your light display,
Twinkle, Twinkle, great big star,
A ball of plasma’s what you are

Great fun writing it, I can tell you. To be sure I loved Carrol’s Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat and Kipling’s(actally Blake's, thanks Scott!) Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright as well.

Anyone else have any Nursery Rhymes to mutate?

Uh, if you mean this Tiger, Tiger:

Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

I think it was written by William Blake.
