I'm a newbie who's been lurking around for a while, and posting sporadically... my first topic though, and the occasion?

I work on the 21st floor - this coupled with a slight fear of heights and elevators means it's not perhaps my *ideal* environment.

But for a week now we've been having false fire alarms... Not at the same time each day, they're completely at random - I know I should be happy our detection system is over, rather than under sensitive.

But still, everytime it happens my heart starts going faster and I just want to get outside, on the ground!

Silly high-rises.

[Grumble]

Well, if you ever feel like entertaining others, I'm sure you're co workers would get a kick out of you lunging for the elevator screaming bloody murder at the sound of each alarm.

Don't laugh, but the first time it happened I practically did.

All the other more seasoned staff just ignored the alarm completely.
