Today, I met Pat, hansenj, Damander, and sarcasticmuppet on campus. My wife and Damander had to leave before we actually met Pat, but that just gives us an excuse to have another Hatrack thingy in Provo.

Anyway, while sitting at a table in the student center, sipping a Jamba Juice that Pat had bought me, I realized that today is my one-year Hatrack anniversary. No, this isn't a landmark. But we talked about Hatrack and life and jobs and all that stuff. We talked about how Pat now owes me only a dinner and a buck forty instead of dinner and five bucks. We also decided that he has to invite me over to play Halo sometime.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind Pat of his outstanding debt, and I wanted to see if anyone else wanted to have a Provo shindig in the near future. I still need to meet my colleague-in-law, advice for robots. . . .

$3.60 for Jamba Juice, eh?

Posted by Jon Boy (Member # 4284) on :

Yeah, it's kind of ridiculous. But as long as Pat's buying . . .

Posted by saxon75 (Member # 4589) on :

What flavor did you get? And which boost?

Posted by saxon75 (Member # 4589) on :

Oh, and Happy Hatrack Birthday.

Posted by Jon Boy (Member # 4284) on :

Berry Lime Sublime, no boost. Pat tried to talk me into getting the femme boost, but I declined. He even asked the girl behind the counter if it was alright for guys to get femme boosts, and she said it was pretty rare, but it happened every now and then. I declined. Then she even started to try to talk me into it, telling me how healthy it is. Weird.

Posted by saxon75 (Member # 4589) on :

I typically go with either the Aloha Pineapple or the Orange Berry Blitz. If I get a boost (they are, after all, free) I go with the Energy boost.

I bet that one's choice of Jamba Juice reflects something about his personality, but I sure don't know what.

Posted by sarcasticmuppet (Member # 5035) on :

Yeah, and I had to buy my own Jamba Juice. But Pat did generously offer me and Jennie some candy from the gift he got for doing the seminar.

Oh, and I realized I've been pronouncing "Hatrack" wrongly. Pat and Jon Boy say it "Hat-rack" and I say it "Ha-track". Good thing they said it first, so I didn't display my ignorance. [Big Grin]

D'oh! I always forget the dates. Of course, someone could have put a day of the week instead of "tomorrow" in their thread title. [Grumble] Trogdor [Grumble]

Still, I may come down for the Women's Broadcast. Yikes. That sounds wrong. The General Relief Society Meeting. Better?

Posted by hansenj (Member # 4034) on :

I'm singing with the BYU Women's Chorus in the relief society meeting tomorrow! [Big Grin]

Oh, and I had a fun time at lunch today. We definitely need to do it again for all the people that didn't make it, though. And, it was great meeting the infamous, Pat Poyfair.

What happened to Zuka Juice?

Posted by sarcasticmuppet (Member # 5035) on :

I think jennie talked about that, or it was some other kind of weird juice. She said it was really gross.

Posted by hansenj (Member # 4034) on :

ha ha...no that's Noni Juice. [Smile]

Zuka Juice was bought out by Jamba juice. As I recall, the BYU one was one of the last ones to change. You know, I will always insist that Zuka Juice was better than Jamba juice, but no one believes me. (Especially since they claim they kept a lot of the same recipes.)

*sigh* Oh how I miss my Zuka Juice!

I always said "Ha-track" too. I always thought it was easier to say and nicer-sounding than "Hat-rack." Also, it works better with "Jatraquero." Is there a "right way" to say it?

And just because Jon Boy and Pat have dozens of aliases doesn't mean everyone should jump on their bandwagon. [Razz]

It's almost definitely pronounced "Hat-rack," since it's named after a river named after a place to hang your hat. [Smile]

Posted by sarcasticmuppet (Member # 5035) on :

I agree with DD. Ha-track just rolls off the tongue. Besides, we've seen how the characters of the AM series butcher names, who's to say they don't actually pronounce it Ha-track?

Where's Celia? I think everytime someone has a BYU get totgether we need to play a whole bunch of board games and psot what a great time we had and how much fun it is when you live right next to your fellow Hatrackers. [Mad]

[Razz] Celia had cool games! [Razz]

Celia now needs to get in here and explain exactly what games she has and why they are so much more fun then hanging out at BYU talking with people. [Wink]

Hobbes [Smile]

But this wasn't hanging out with people—this was hanging out with Pat.

I call it 'The Rack.'

And I'm still upset that Jon Boy didn't get the 'femme boost.'

We had a good time, if it was only brief. I'd forgotten how much I love BYU. And how out of place I felt with my goatee.

Thanks to all who met me. That was fun.

And man, is Jon Boy's hair curly.

You didn't notice the last time you met him?

If we ever go to Jamba Juice again, I promise that I'll get a femme boost. I'll do my best to order it with a straight face, too.

Posted by Pat (Member # 879) on :

I just forgot.

That's some curly que hair that husband of yours has.

And sorry I missed you.

Posted by Scott R (Member # 567) on :

Even though I know that OSC prounounces Hatrack 'Hat-rack', I still pronounce it 'Hat-track.'

Go figure.

Scooter, I pronounce it that way, too.

We can just flip off the others! [Smile]

Posted by Scott R (Member # 567) on :

I'm not sure I know how, mac.

Like this?

No worries for me, right? So when's the next time we meet at Jamba Juice? [Wink]

Posted by Jon Boy (Member # 4284) on :

Like we're going to invite you now . . .

Posted by Her Royal Sweekiness (Member # 5747) on :

well that's just mean. Jon Boy's just jealous because he can't miss a shave without risking failing a test.

i am really unsure of what to think about seeing my name thrown around like that...knock it off.

Scott: [Roll Eyes] [Razz] [Cool]

Pat: You have a goatee?

Posted by Trogdor the Burninator (Member # 4894) on :

Yup. People at work say I look like Satan.

Kinda like this ---> [Evil]

Posted by Hobbes (Member # 433) on :

It seems like people would comment more on the horns than the goatee...

Celia, I'm just doing it to get back at you for suggesting that website with Hart's Hope on it. They cancelled my order. [Mad] [Cry] [Wall Bash] [Mad]

Hobbes [Smile]

Hobbes - I'm not sure exactly which edition you're looking for, but you can find the paperback Hart's Hope on half.com.

Yup. If Satan were a namby-pamby teddy-bearish character, then Pat would look exactly like him.

Ohh I know. I actually techincally own two copies of the paperback (though I can't find one of them...). Celia found me a hardcover copy and then they canceled my order. [Mad]

<off topic> You know, I'll he could be. I mean, that would be more effective than the tail and horns, right? Someone self-depracatingly, completely harmless?

Posted by celia60 (Member # 2039) on :

it's not in thier database anymore...odd...either someone snaked it out from under you in the few minutes between me linking you and you purchasing it, or you're card was declined, or the seller hadn't updated his inventory in a while. if you want to call them directly and ask, come by my office.

Posted by Hobbes (Member # 433) on :

Thanks Celia, but the e-mail they sent me clearly explained that either the seller was lazy or someone had come in and bought it off of the shelf. [Mad]

Hobbes [Smile]

Posted by celia60 (Member # 2039) on :

well, i'm glad i didn't try to buy that one! the slightly cheaper one is still listed, if you want it.

Yah I know, I can't decide. *waffles* (Is that the correct spelling? If not I can go for some anyways. [Big Grin] )
