I woke up this morning to find snow falling from the sky, an exciting experience to be sure, but when I checked the weather on line it told me it was supposed to be sunny and (relatively) warm. I can't find a site I really like for reliable weather, so I decided to come to the best search engine around and ask Hatrack. Where do you get weather reports? How accurate are they? Please leave a link. Thanks.

I usually go to www.weatherunderground.com. It's as accurate as any other site I've found, and I love consulting the historical data.

Well, you could grab some dice, paint different weather symbols on the different sides, and roll 'em. That would probably be almost as accurate as most of the prominent weather sites, although I suppose I'd still recommend them as the best we've got. Weather.com I like for their wide array of up-to-date maps.

I'm in Southern California, where the weather doesn't vary enough that inaccurate reporting makes much difference. Sorry I can't help. I just watch the news in the morning, and assume we'll get a minor variation on that theme. 78 degrees instead of 73, and the marine layer burns off around 10:30 instead of noon. Doesn't affect my plans in the least.

Heh, I used to live near Seattle the weather there was much more predictable. If it wasn't raining it would be soon. I'm not sure what to do about snow in October.

These are excellent ones, but it really depends upon what you want out of a site.
Weatherunderground is about a 2 on a the 10 scale.
It really depends upon how much you love weather or what you want to know. Try this site and go to the state you live in:
I find the U.S. Government sites to be best, rather than the private sites like weatherunderground. Most private sources use NOAA data and information anyway.
