I just love FoxTrot today:

Fox Trot Cartoon

(does it make me a geek because I liked it?)

The number one reason why I like Fox Trot so much is the fact that I am a geek and Jason is just so funny in the ways of geekdom.

Oh, and he forgot to include an end line function. Poor thing is just going to keep wrapping around the chalkboard.

The very first Basic program I ever wrote, all those years and year ago before most of you were even born, was a program to write 50 times, "I must not be so uh-oh-oh". <laughs>

Yeah, the teacher obviously noticed that he left off the \n, or I'm sure she would have accepted it. [Smile]

not to mention that it would on loop 499 times

(luthe, what are you talking about?)

luthe: nope, 500. That's a '<=', not a '<'.

Posted by luthe (Member # 1601) on :

Oops you are right it is 500.

[Edit]
As an explanation, other than my incredible lack of brain power today. I aways start at zero and use "<", as that way I don't screw up or have to do anything differently when iterating over an array.

Jason is definitely what makes Fox Trot so cool. His interactions with his sister are funny, too.

I noticed that the site Farmgirl linked to said that their viewers also like Calvin & Hobbes, Doonesbury and Bloom County which all happen to be on my list of favorites. Definitely some intelligent writing in all of them.

LOL! that's brilliant!

Jen or Jane, if either of yall see this thread, print that out and bring it to Mr. Fisher. And ask him where the pig is.

I LOVE FOXTROT!

At my house we have every single book.

I only wish he wouldn't repeat the comics in the paper. It's such a letdown when you turn to the comics and find a rerun.

oh -- that's great!

(I didn't even remember beginning this thread months ago).

Foxtrot is just the greatest. Except a couple weeks ago they had one where he takes "baseball" literally -- and my chemistry-minded son had to explain it to me! (that he was using a "base" chemical on the ball.... <sigh>) Made me feel very dumb.

I read Fox Trot every day. I love the series around Halloween when Jason and his buddies were dressed up as LOTR characters. My fiance's daughter has them taped to her bedroom door. [Big Grin]

You don't need to be grounded, that is just an urban myth perpetuated by the sellers of those little metal bracelets.

Uh, have you ever fried a PCI card because you weren't grounded?

*raises hand*

The spark coming from my hand was visible.

Yeah. Grounding is definitely a good idea. But you don't need no fancy bracelet or nuthin, just leave the machine plugged in (and turned off) and touch the power supply before starting. Or so I've been told, and I haven't zapped anything since. [Smile]

Around here the humidity is so high that except in mid winter, we don't have any static problems. And yeah, the case of the power supply ought to be grounded. Also any metal case of any electrical appliance that has a 3 prong plug.

[Hail] Fox Trot

Anyone ever heard of Dork Tower?
Very similar, except that it's gaming geeks.

I really liked the ones that come out the week Star Wars movies are out in theatres... [ROFL]

Cool story, though I was hoping for more of the like. :: takes mental note ::

Darn! My link is broken to the episode in which Jason wants to sign up for a certain satellite TV channel, so he can watch Query Eye for the Database Guy ?

Paige sure takes a beating sometimes, doesn't she?

LOL, I was looking at other comics and found this.

That actually happened to me once, I went to an electronics store and some employee was repeatidly asking me if I needed any help. After looking around and seeing nothing of interest I left the store and he followed me into the parking lot continuosly asking if I needed help looking for something.
