Angry Moroccan teacher throws pupils out of window
Monday, October 6, 2003 Posted: 7:33 PM EDT (2333 GMT)

RABAT, Morocco (Reuters) -- Two Moroccan schoolboys were injured Monday when their teacher threw them out of a first floor classroom window for being too noisy, an Education Ministry official said.

One of the pupils, aged nine, ended up in hospital with a fractured shoulder and serious injuries to his face and head while the other, age 10, suffered only slight injuries, the official from the ministry's delegation in Casablanca said.

He said the teacher had warned the pair she would throw them out if they were not quiet.

"They did not listen. They should have listened," he told Reuters by telephone. "She (the teacher) suffers depression."

The official had no comment on whether the teacher would be disciplined

(spelling of defenestration corrected)

[Eek!] Wow. They're not SURE if she'll be disciplined??? Even from a first-floor window, they could have been hurt far worse.

ikantspell, please tell me that was a joke.

It was a joke, hence the laughing, I'll edit the post and put in j/k.
I DO however think that there needs to be more discipline in schools, but not to this level.

I'll agree with you on that. [Smile]

On second thought, discipline should go well beyond this. Twice each day there should be a mandatory beat-down followed by watching Gigli twice in a row...no that's too evil.j/k [Big Grin]

Smart 10 year old. My guess is he avoided serious injury by insuring he landed on the 9 year old.

Oh I am glad I went to school in the US, where teachers were safe. It was the other students who were dangerous.

At least its still weird enough it made news. Maybe just because they could put teacher throws pupil out the window in the headline. That would be pretty rewarding for a journalist
