I haven't posted at all this week because I have been extremely sick. It started with a sore throat, and moved to a headache, nausea and was capped off with disiness. All that pluss an exposure to viral meningitis means, Ryan's getting a spinal tap. I narrowly avoided a tap after they found out I could move my neck. Thank God. They just hooked up an IV and gave me a shot of morphine. I'm pretty doped up now, and will remain so for several days. Needless to say, I won't make the Trivial Pursuit game because I'll probably be sleeping. (I sleep for 5 hours at a time, day and night). Keep me in your prayers.

My favorite part is when they get totally lost.

Ryan-
Hope the docs can get you all straightened out. Don't fret the spinal tap, though. If your doctor knows what he/she is doing, it won't be too bad. About ten years ago, I developed some mysterious illness that caused me to go blind for a month- thankfully, got a lot of my vision back, but still have some damage. Well, since then, I've had around 35 spinals done to check my pressure. Its not the most comfortable experience in the world, but its never been very painful for me. If it helps them get you better, it'll be well worth it.
Let us know how you're doing!! [Smile]

Actually being sick was better than dealing with all this makeup work. AGH!

Ryan,

my deepest sympathies. I haven't had a spinal tap in about 37 years. It wasn't the worst thing I've experienced but definitely no fun.

My guess is that meningitis is worse.

Best wishes in healing.
