Today is the day where we celebrate the birthday and achievements of Satyendra Nath Bose, the Indian physicist whose work in quantum mechanics provided the base for a statistical description of the behavior of large numbers of bosons.

Huzzah for Bose!!!

<our Bosses Day cake came back with a slight misspelling>

<or this could possibly be the first ever pre-Dobie>

I can't believe the Hatrack community completely disregarded this. I mean, pre-Dobies! This idea is clearly weeks ahead of its time.

Like, people could make Dobies, and then people could go and make real threads based on the Dobies. If you can Dobie a thread, surely you can thread a Dobie.

Don't be afraid to think outside the box, people.

(P.S. I'm only half-jolking)

You obviously have ignored the following:

Happy Bosox Day

(I'm not claiming it was a worthy successor* - but I tried)

*pun intended

All the greats were misunderstood and unappreciated in their time. Only the rare few can see the genius before them.
