So, I was reading a friend's live journal, and she mentioned this other live journal, dedicated to pictures of 12 inch Star Wars Dolls touring the US, seeing the sights.

Only, be warned. The originator is a bit up in arms about something called Marriage Protection Week, which I hadn't heard of, or seen discussed here.

Was that a joke? [Confused]

My sarcasm-meter is in the shop today.

I haven't been around here a lot lately. I take it the MPW fiasco has already rolled through. Sorry.

And yes, I think anything involving pictures of Star Wars action figures is a joke.

Oh, Olivet, the Star Wars thing was a hoot. Didn't mean to imply that I didn't know that was funny.

Do you think it's a coincidence that Prescott's school's fall break - which lasts one week - is also happening this week?

Probably, since fall break was planned since school started, and this was written on the 3rd...but it still makes you wonder if this will be called "fall break" in future years.

Of course, marriage doesn't have all that much to do with school. But neither does Christmas, really.

Hm...

Anyway, I've seen a much better view of the Grand Canyon...a hundred times before.

I love that journal!

I have a gnome who travels the world with me... I have some fabulous pictures of him in France and Switzerland that I need to post sometime. His name, with which he was christened on the way to France, is David (dah-VEED). While in a used book shop in Lyon, my friend and I found a kid's picture book called "David le Gnome," and this is now one of his prized posessions.

Unfortunately, all photographic proof of his trip to Mexico perished with my film. He is very excited, though, to someday see Macchu Picchu.

If anyone is going on a world adventure, David is available on loan. Maybe he could be our Hatrack world traveler.

*grumbles* About.com used to have a site devoted to Star Wars. 'Twas a really great site, with lots of jokes, trivia, and collector information -- you named it, they had it. Anyways, the reason I bring it up is that someone else had done a similar gag, but with the miniature plastic dolls. It was very, very funny. I'm still mad that About.com took their Star Wars site down. What were they thinking? *grumbles*

It's nice for one's sexual prowess to be noticed and all, but, really, guys... I'm blushing here.

I remember the David the Gnome TV cartoon show too. It had Tom Bosley (the dad from Happy Days) as the voice of David.

And David Bowles, why would you be blushing about 12 inch adventures? Do you take a ruler with you everywhere? Are you really concerned about the size of things? [Big Grin]
