Pajeba, sarcasticmuppet, hansenj, T_Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Jon Boy--nice to meet you all. I was pleased to finally talk to some jatraqueros in real life.

I thought I recognized hansenj when she walked over and sat down a few tables from where I was sitting. Then Jon Boy appeared (in a burst of lightning, no less!) and sat down at the same table. I did recognize him, so I walked over and introduced myself as advice for robots.

Brinestone and sarcasticmuppet showed up a few minutes later, but no T_Smith. He had failed to meet Brinestone at the HBLL. Turns out he had parked over by the football stadium, and had a nice long walk to the Wilk. He did finally find us, resplendent in his brown jacket and definitely-not-BYU-approved goatee.

Pajeba had been sitting a little way away, and finally came over and asked if we were all jatraqueros. Happy to see her! She pulled up a chair, and we introduced ourselves.

Then we went down and got lunch. And had some pleasant chit-chat while we ate. T_Smith figures that he's met 17 jatraqueros now, and is on his way to Oregon in November to meet some more. Brinestone related a funny story in which she snuck away from EFY against the counselor's orders to attend a Leading Edge meeting. And managed to tie that in to guys who wear beards at BYU, which was the current subject of conversation. Nicely done. [Smile]

I don't know why it still seems a little surreal that I met you all IRL. I guess I really separate online from real life, or face to face conversation from the forum environment. Kind of made my head spin. I had a great time, even though it was just lunch at the Cougareat and not something exotic like an OSC speech. Nice to meet you all.

Hey, I had a good time as well. [Smile] My grand total now is ten jatraqueros (at least I think it is, let's see...Damander-if she counts that is [Wink] , Brinestone, Jon Boy, popatr, T_Smith, Hobbes, sarcasticmuppet, Pat, pajeba, and Advice for Robots, yep!) Not as cool as T yet, but hey, what do I expect, right? [Razz]

It was lots of fun, and even though my sandwich had way too much meat on it, it was still enjoyable. [Big Grin] These little lunch things are a good idea.

Lightning, eh? Wow. I had no idea I was that cool.

And I'd just like to say that it was a pleasure to finally meet my colleague-in-law.

Okay, so I haven't met as many Jatraqueros as T_Smith has, but I've met thirteen now. Let's see . . . Ruth, Jennie Hansen, Damander, popatr, T_Smith, pepperuda, Pat, Amka, somedeadguy, pajeba, sarcasticmuppet, advice for robots, raventh1 . . . I'm pretty sure that's all. Hmm. I haven't seen popatr, pepperuda, and somedeadguy in a while. I wonder what's happened to them.

I decided that T is a big dork because he thought the Smith Field house was the library because it was a "domed greenhouse-looking thing." [Roll Eyes]

I agree. These little lunch things are quite fun. My count is up to...let's see...Jon Boy and Ruth and hansenj and Demander and Pat and AFR and T and pajeba...that's eight.

Yep, we can vouch for pajeba's real-ness. [Wink]

Oh, and I forgot to mention the two guys wandering around the Cougareat in Leiderhosen. It's too bad we didn't have a camera, or else T would have gotten his picture taken with them. [Razz]

yeah. I so meant to bring my camera, too. Sadness. [Frown]

No way! Lederhosen?!?

Yes way. They were advertising an Oktoberfest party (root beer, of course) at their apartment complex. They also had fun making up names for "German" royalty.

Their pants weren't leather, but they surely were unfortunate. [Big Grin]

With WenchCon, I'm thinking an estimated 7 more. ::shrug::

Oh, and I've talked to 3 other people over the phone.

Holy Frell, I'm a Hatrack Nerd (::coughGoobercough: [Smile] . All I need now is an insane amount of Screen Names...

And yes, there was lederhosen there. Worn by true blue full fledged goobers. My hat goes off to them.

And curses be to that caffiene free abomination of a school, with their stupid little campus maps that don't even tell you were the frell you are!!
