Just a note to let you guys know my tonsils came out yesterday morning. I came home about 1pm today.

Not having any problems other than my stomach complaining about the lack of solid food. I'm working on some campbells soup at the moment. I don't know how much I will be on hatrack. It depends on my sleep to boredom ratio while I recuperate. I do have a couple books to read too.

I didn't want to IM Steve since I was nervous. I'm so glad you're OK! [Big Grin] [Group Hug] [Big Grin]

Soup, sleep, and books, with a Hatrack option. Sounds like a perfect recovery formula. Hope it works both well and quickly.

Feel better soon!

It's good that you're eating. When I had mine out, I refused to eat for 8 days because it hurt so much and they had to take me back to the hospital for an I.V. That was the best diet ever.

aww, Annabanana, I hope you heal up in triple quick time! I don't know if you remember, but I had a thread about my son's tonsils not too long ago. I'll sympathize with you, if you sympathize with me when Christopher gets his out. Heh.

Soup and sleep and reading, sounds like heaven. [Smile]

I hope you feel well enough to enjoy your recovery time. Rest and books and occaisional Hatracking sounds great, if you're not too miserable to appreciate it.

I would just like to say that now in hindsight, having my tonsils out was definitely the right call. The recovery was pretty miserable for a while, but now that I'm recovered I feel so much better.

I have more energy than I've had since June when I came down with the mononeucleosis that caused the tonsil problem. I guess getting rid of a bacterial cesspool will improve almost anyone's health, but I have been pleasantly surprised at the drastic change.

I'm even able to wake up in the morning like a normal person without battling constant exhaustion and feeling like I always need another hour of sleep!

I'm so glad that you're feeling better! Sorry that you had to go through this, but that's great that the surgery made such a difference.

Oh, I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. As you might remember, my five year old needs his tonsils out, too. The hospital doesn't have a crucial piece of pediatric anaesthesia equipment (yikes!) yet, so we are waiting.

That's interesting you mention the fatigue you had pre-tonsillectomy. I always thought CR was just not a morning person. Hmm...it's so hard to ask a five-year-old health questions.

Yay for a full recovery!

Well jexx, I don't know how entirely a leopard changes his spots. I'm not a morning person either. But it has gone from a loathing and despising of having to get up in the morning, to merely mild dislike. I also am able to look forward to activities I'm going to be doing that day rather than thinking "how am I going to generate the energy to survive this?"
