It doesn't take a lot to entertain Myr, but once she's entertained, she'll stay that way for weeks at a time...

I studied fo 4 hours for ANOTHER test and I have this happy feeling of accomplishment.

I will also get to bed by 11pm and feel better tomorrow.

We finished our grueling week-long recording session with the orchestra today. Ah. Life is already better.

Well, this didn't happen today so much as it did on Saturday, but it's still worthy of note. I went to Toronto and saw one of the best musicals ever made. Evil Dead -- The Musical. I haven't laughed so hard in a long, long time. I don't know that I will laugh so hard in a long, long time.

What made my day yesterday? Finishing the frigging day.

What'll make my day today? Probably the same. But I'll update if something good happens.

Made my day?

I bought train tickets to go to Chicago to visit my sister.
A real "leap of faith" on my budget...

But I love to travel...

All of the good reviews here and in my e-mail have made my day.

Heck, they made my month.

Found a new apartment - French doors to patio, vaulted ceilings, washer/dryer, large walk-in closet, large space for office and computer, much closer to work and five minutes from friends, and it's barely more than I'm paying now for half a townhouse that I have to share with an unpleasant roommate. Plus, leaser is desperate for someone to take over the lease, so he won't ask me to put down a deposit (I'll get what he put down when the lease is up) and I get the last two months of rent that are already paid for on his contract. Yay!

My mother-in-law called last night and told my wife and I that we can have her living room set. We've been ina new house for about 5 months with no living room furniture. Now we have a plcae to sit in fornt of the fire place just in time for the cold weather! And these are nice pieces too, reclining couch with matching love seat.

is that like "Jenny from the block"?

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

Sure is. *gazes admiringly at own post*

It's a grammat nitpick, a pop-culture reference, and a literary allusion all in wrapped in six little words.

This made my day.

The same thing that always makes my day: the sun. Without the sun, it would always be night.

Ba-dum-psh!

Anyway, what did make my day? Well, I had some more Code Red today. And a tuna sandwhich. Hmm...

Well, I can tell you what WOULD make my day.

If I went into labor and could have today be my last day of work instead of tomorrow. That would be great!

Yesterday it made my day that I got a series of crank phone calls from people confessing some rather outrageous and not quite believable sins, some of them in Latin. [Big Grin]

I made an absolutely luscious 100% organic cranberry tart for work - with fresh whipped cream (real cream in one of those old-fashioned dispensers that uses nitrous oxide cartridges to whip the cream).

It gets better.

The loudmouth know-it-all from downstairs (I work on the 2nd floor) tried to show someone how to use the whipped cream dispenser. He pushed the button and out came the whipped cream. He let go of the button, and out came the whipped cream. It wouldn't shut off. He ended up with a pint of whipped cream on his plate and a red tint to his face.

Made my day.
