That's would definitely upset me if that happened at my kid's school. If they only found pot in a dozen backpacks, it doesn't sound like there was a disproportional amount at the school to send in an armed swat team. And since they argue all the bad ones were able to avoid cameras and flush the stuff, what was the point?

I don't usually agree with stupid lawsuits, but I'd be for sending my kid to therapy and billing the police department.

I think there was already a thread on this, but I didn't say anything so I'll say it here.

The principal of that school is severely crazy. I hear him on the radio around here doing interviews before and after the shooting. He basically sits in his office and uses his many security cameras to watch (spy on) the students all day. He suspends students for not having their shirts tucked in, other crazy things.

So all in all, despite the failure of the police department to have any idea what their jobs are and how they should do them, it falls on the principle for suggesting the raid in the first place, and for promoting it as a good idea and a good thing to do afterwards.

Many of the parents from this school district are also quite insane/idiotic. They did a poll of some of the parents, and I don't remember the numbers but quite a few of them said that even if one of the children had been shot during the raid, it would have been worth it.

Isn't that just about the craziest thing for a parent to say of their children?

This was discussed elsewhere. I maintain that the best state is a police state.
