Is it Master and Commander? Or is it because Pirates of the Carribean hit the dollar theaters?

Looney toons? Let me know. I haven't been to see a movie in a theater in over six months, though we did go to the drive in once. It was the much bemoaned viewing of 2 fast 2 furious in order to have a good spot for viewing X men 2.

I just bought the soundtrack to Master and Commander. Absolutely beautiful music for work or hatracking. Incredible percussion.

My interest in Master and Commander is about a 2 on a 1-10 scale. And THAT'S only because of Peter Sarsgaard. [Razz]

I'm afraid I'm part of the population that is wary of ocean movies. The ocean is beautiful, but that beauty rarely transfers well to screen, and this looks like... a very testosteroney movie, and I'm not sure if it is in a appealing way.

On the other hand, all the reviews have mentioned the books, and I'm considering a new obsession.

Went to see Matrix: Revolutions over the weekend. The previews to Last Samauri looked good......

Saw 'Matrix: Revolution' last night as well, and I'm still wondering just why Tom Cruise is the main character for 'The Last Samaurai'.

I really liked Love Actually, its a drop for my machismo stats, but I loved it, and Kill Bill is still in so yay!

Master and Commander, it was good I thought, but maybe that's just me really liking ships.

Anyone know when Troy comes out? Saw a preview for it but I can't remember.

We saw "Lost in Translation" last night. It was... interesting. A film that made me appreciate how solid and loving my relationship is. And plenty of good foreign-culture humor.

'Starwoids',in which is exhibited 'Star Wars: The Musical', "Quite possibly the most CRIMINALLY UNDEREXPOSED piece of SW fan media in the world." Something that, from what little I saw, we can all be thankful for.

I just watched Joan of Arcadia and Stargate SG1. If I watch Stargate SG! again at 11 like I'm planning to, I'll have watched more tv tonight than I have in the past month. [Big Grin]

TV here too - it's too cold to go anywhere tonight. Besides, Monk is back with a new season!
(Favorite line from the series: "Except for the murders and trying to kill me, you were the best doctor I ever had.")

(Best line tonight: "If you ever get your own show, promise me you'll never change the theme song.")

Then I got to show off my attention to detail by explaining to Diane what made the line so funny.

[Smile]

sndrake.... thank you for reminding me. I almost forgot about Monk. I can catch the repeat. Yay!

The theme show line was even funnier here. I didn’t watch the first season, and the neighbors that I watch the show with hate the new theme song. Every week when it starts they tell me “the old theme was so much better.” I was [Laugh] at them through the whole thing.

And then they didn't even notice that they played the old theme over the credits until I pointed it out. [Roll Eyes]

Diane was under the impression that the old theme song played at the end has been playing at the end of every show. Memories are funny. In all honesty, the real reason I could be so sure in this instance is that I am a Randy Newman fan and the new song grabbed me right away.
