Well as some of you might know I had dinner with OSC last night. My wife and I met Scott and his wife Kristine at a local place about 2 minutes walk from where the book signing was. The signing was supposed to start at 7 and we met them at 5:30, so we thought we would have enough time. Well we all seemed to have such a good time Scott got to the signing right at 7, instead of his usual 6:30 or so.

I just have to say that Scott and Kristine are two of the nicest people you will ever get a chance to meet. We talked about Hatrack and Ornery and kids and school and his travels recently and all sorts of things.

Let me just say that this is in the my top 5 list of best days, up there with my wedding day and the two days that my boys were born.

Thanks Kristine and Scott.

Did you get a sample of their DNA for cloning???

Congrats! Your dinner with Scott & Kristine is on MY list of top ten days too, and I wasn't even there.

Sheesh!

So, when is the next Texas book signing. I know where the best bar-b-que in a defunct gas station is in the entire state!!!

I'm sitting here in Australia as envious as hell, but also glad you had a great time.

This would definately be on my top five days of all time list (if only....)

Wow,
That's really cool. I just had the pleasure of meeting Mr Card and his wife(she and I have the same Bday) at the San Rafael signing. I'm not sure what I was expecting but was more than pleasantly surprised. Both he and Kristine were very warm and welcoming and had a charisma about them that lit up the room. I'd love to take one of his writing seminars, but I live on the West Coast. Oh well. Anyway, nice to know you had such a pleasant experience but after meeting them I would expect nothing less.
