Just got myself a copy of Visio 2003 pro, which I was pretty excited about until they told me I was to make 50+ rack diagrams, 7 site network layouts, 1 WAN layout and 1 projected site layout.
I need some help with a particular feature. Normally when you add text to an item the text won't change in size when you resize the object, so you either have a small object with very large text or a large object with very small text. But I need it to. So how do I add text to an object and when I resize it keep the text in proportion to the object. The only reason this matters is because the smallest font I can use is 1 point and I need to get much smaller than that.
Any help will be appreciated.

I'm not sure it's physically possible to have text that's smaller than one point.
In fact, text that's one point in size is going to be a single pixel, right?

1-point font is about 1/16th of an inch wide. I need about 1/32nd inch wide. I have an example in a stencil of someone else doing it but I can't figure out how they did it.

Is that READABLE? If you aren't going to print the thing, wouldn't you be better off just creating multiple layers?

The point is actually a unit of measurement of the height of a capital letter, and was brought into computing from typesetting. A typographic point is about 1/72 of an inch, and the relationship of pixels to points would be dependent on your screen's resolution. It is physically possible to make a letter smaller than one point, but a letter that is shorter than 1/72 inch (about a third of a millimeter) would definitely be both impractical to manufacture a type for and hard or impossible to read with the naked eye.

When you use a full 8x11 paper for one rack it is, or if you zoom in alot. That is the kind of attention to detail i like to get to.
I don't only want them to see a UPS there, but that it is a APC 1400RM smart UPS. They will see all the lights lit and even the little symbols under each of the lights.
I usally work at a 1 in. = 1 ft. scale at 2000% zoom.
