Last weekend we celebrated Teres' birthday by throwing her a Johnny Depp party, where everyone had to dress as a character from a Johnny Depp movie. Sadly, no one came as Edward Scissorhands. But it was fun anyway. I just posted some pics on her website.

For a second I thought you were celebrating my birthday... Too bad, that's such an awesome idea for a party, [Smile]

You look incredibly similar to Sparrow, Chris. I'm impressed. [Cool]

[EDIT: That's the second time this month I've missed a comma like that [Wall Bash] ]

It could be worse. It could have been the second time this month that you missed a period.

At the risk of damning my immortal soul by posting so close to Moose's wretched, bad, evil joke, let me say that you do make a kick-ass Jack Sparrow, Chris. Thanks for sharing those pics. [Smile]

Pop, that joke was awesome!

Chris your parties are to be envied! Where did "Ichabod" get those cool glasses?

A good time was had by all. We watched Depp movies, heckled our own characters whenever they appeared, made lots of pirate noises, and ate grilled cheese sandwiches, chocolate, and a whole bushel of apples. Happy birthday, wench!
You have a great taste in food (if you believe that's a pun, it wasn't intended; I don't know if it would be thought of one or not, though).

I can't tell if it's because you didn't wouldn't tell the name...but the "pirate to the right" looks UNBELIEVABLY FAMILIAR.
[Eek!]

What a wonderful party!

We had a big jug full of sweet tea (we're nondrinkers) so the rum was covered.

Alex was supposed to come as Raoul Duke, since he has the bald head and the um, unique outlook on life required, but at the last minute he switched to the priesthood. Too bad, I was looking forward to seing him swagger in with a golf club and a grapefruit.

Why wasn't I invited?

Heh heh, my mother would love a party like that, as would... half my friends...

A very convincing Jack Sparrow you make...

Last hallowe'en someone at my school dressed up as Jack Sparrow and acted the part to a T the whole day, complete with swagger and slur. Needless to say, by the end of the day you could overhear half the female population in the school whispering,

"Did you see that guy dressed up as Jack Sparrow?" *gigglegiggle* etc.

It's a very popular costume...

Certainly worked for me. For the party, I mean.

And yep, I stayed in character as much as possible. Carrying around the jug of tea helped.

ooops, I thought this was registration for a new political party.

I'll go away now.
