Happy 100th birthday of powered human flight.

Orville and Wilbur, we salute you!

[Hat] [Hail]

NOTE: Today is also the 100th anniversary of:

1) The word "legroom"
2) The packaging of 7-10 peanuts
3) The "fasten seat belt" sign
4) The barf bag

Points out that the first passenger airline flight was from St. Petersburg, FL to Tampa, FL.

That was the first lost bag too.

Somehow the luggage on that flight ended up in Texas, where Bob now uses it for furniture in his living room.

Scientific evidence is mounting that the whole flight thing is a fake.

Yeah, they used the same studio that faked the moon landing.

Said Orville Wright to Wilbur Wright, "These birds are very trying.
I'm sick of hearing them 'cheep, cheep' about the fun of flying.
A bird has feathers, it is true, that much I freely grant
But must that stop us, W?"
Said Wilbur Wright, "It shan't."

Hmmm. I memorized that poem in second grade. Funny that it's still stuck in my head.

I heard that Orville made Wilbur dress up like a stewardess.

I get confused. There was Orville and Wilbur. Which one was the talking horse and which one sold popcorn?

FG: I live in Bryan/College Station, TX. Moved here in August or thereabouts.

I barely got my driver's license changed and you're worried about my profile?

Hmm...

I'll get right on that.
