Did anyone catch the Saddam capture conspiracy mentioned on FOXNEWS?
I happened to be watching one day this week, and evidently there is a conspiracy floating around that Saddam has been captured for some time. Evidently, there is photographic or video evidence that shows a palm tree with ripening dates in the background of Saddam's capture. There is then the evidence brought forth that dates ripen in the summer months in Iraq, so Saddam must have been captured sometime months before now.
Did anyone else see this on mainstream news? The entire idea is quite a stretch, but would make sense for Coalition Forces to detain Saddam and grill him for as much information to penetrate as many remaining cells with them more unaware of an assault...
Just got me thinking, but so did the fact that I think I am attractive in my long-johns, and I am relatively sure that I am a bit delusional on the latter...so who knows.

Hey, why stop after 20 minutes? Also, do the world a favor and video-capture the event! I'm sure there are thousands of other applicable scenarios that others will want to use your ass-chewing footage for in relaying their own emotions.

Wow, when I saw this thread, i thought you were off your rocker. then I read it.
It also makes sence to detain Saddam, because if we had captured him, people would have been more against occupation. Not to mention, they wanted to make the capture more dramatic. Just in time for christmas.

Oh, I must have given a false insinuation unknowingly that I believe this bit of a conspiracy theory to be true. I neither believe it to be true or false, I just find theories like these highly enjoyable, in a Weekly World News kind of way.
To sort of paraphrase the movie Armageddon with a twist to the subject at hand:
"That's what makes conspiracy theories so exciting! You never know if they are 97% false and 3% true, or 97% true and 3% false".
Also, I was off my rocker, but the latest psych evaluations have me labeled as sane, with a streak of pyromania and an ISTJ behavioral pattern.

Sorry for the rant above, but I have just been overworked and wasn't expecting an empty comment like that. I have only been able to log onto Hatrack occasionally, and hadn't checked the post all week. With eager anticipation I logged on and was greeted with that comment. I am better now!

TT&T said she would, but she's so far away. Id have to work the streets in that outfit for months to get enough money to go all the way to New Zealand to take the pictures.

The fruits of the date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) do not become ripe simultaneously. Ripening begins in September and continues through December.
