or i'll forget to.

I just get so wrapped up in things. Especially when it's something like work, work that i want to do and enjoy doing that is.

i'l be working all day and suddenly it's like 4 or 5pm and i haven't eaten anything yet all day. or it's like 10 or 11pm and i realize i never ate dinner.

Am i alone here in forgetting to take care of my body when i'm wrapped up in something that fully engages my mind?

Yes.

If Kama and Strider weren't the same age, I'd think Kama was his long-lost, Polish, older sister. [Razz]

Did you not eat again today? Even after you told me you were gonna eat breakfast?! [No No]

Why can't I be his long-lost twin sister?

I usually don't eat for reasons quite different, but the sentiment is the same. I'll go maybe 36 hours or so before I start to feel hungry, and my fiance has to remind me to eat, and then it seems like more of a chore than a necessity. Ever since I have moved out of home, I've been fairly rapidly losing weight, but I can see myself being able to lose more, so I'm not too stressed about eating regularly.

Just out of interest, does anyone know of any symptoms or side effects of malnutrition?

I was always forgetting to eat at Harding. Of course, the limited time that meals were available contributed to that. I would get online and suddenly--whoops, I'm hungry now but the cafeteria's closed!

I forget to eat quite often. For some reason, I just lack the ability to care when I'm hungry. [Smile]

It's not a huge deal if it's only every so often, but it can screw with you if you don't start to pay attention...

Cause twin sisters have that similarity thing going on, Kama. You're more around to keep him in his place, ya know? Totally the older sis gig.

I get the same thing Strider. It happened to me tonight actually. I skipped breakfast I didn't even realize it.

I ate lunch, but it's midnight here in California and I just finished a bowl of cinnamon Life so....
[Dont Know]

the thing is, i still eat enough. i think i eat plenty. just it's all whacked out when i eat. the times are pretty random. i've lost like 5 pounds in the last few months, but it's not totally related. cause i'd forget to eat before too, when i was still working my old job. i would just forget to eat at night or on days off.

now that most of my days are "off", i seem to forget more often.

it's especially bad because there's food like 6 feet behind me on a shelf.

Heh. That'd happen to me, too, back in Costa Rica -- I could go days without eating and never feel hunger pangs.

Of course, now that I'm back in the US, food's just too close at hand to ignore... Sigh...

No way Kama's my sister. I don't believe in her. Well, i believe in some form of her existence, but for her to be my older sister means my parents would have to be computer programs. Or at least one of them.

hmmm...maybe this solves the mystery of my father! wow. this explains everything. I should've known... [Big Grin]

The only time I won't eat is when I get to a certain level of hunger. You know when you're really hungry and nothing will do but food at that instant? If the only food I have requires any preparation time when I'm that hungry I just won't eat because I don't want to wait.

If that makes any sense.

Bob, I get the same way. After a certain window of hunger, I think everything is too much effort and would rather just go to sleep. Not a very good evolutionary trait, methinks.

I eat about 1 or 2 meals a day, always skipping breakfast and sometimes I feel too lazy to make anything.
I sometimes want someone to cook for me.

I neglect to eat when I'm really engrossed in something but otherwise I'm always hungry. This whole "no eating except during lunch hours" thing at my new school is killing me. I don't really like to eat big meals - Just one solid, smaller meal a day with a bunch of little snacks scattered throughout the day. I started putting on a little weight because I stopped skating and I'm not doing any athletics this year but I just cut down my overall intake down per day by one sweet-snack (yes, snacks come in categories. there are sweets and healthy snacks and ones that are in-between). Now I'm back at 105 and loving it(With my build, even that extra 5 pounds that make it 110 make a difference.).

Dang. I alwayd wanted to have an older brother. I already have a younger one.

Oh, well.

*sends Strider to his room*

Silly Kama! If an older sister sends a little brother to his room, she'd better be prepared to drag him there, kicking and screaming! [Wink]

Same with older sister and little sister! They just nastily call you "mother" and flounce away.

Why won't they listen to age and wisdom? [Wink]

Did anybody notice how vulgar that first post is if you read it with the wrong frame of mind? I did, probably because I saw the "Get Laid" dobie before I opened up this topic.

Anyway, I don't forget to eat, but half the time people think I'm anorexic and the other half of the time people think I'm a pig, because I don't eat at what other people consider "normal times". I'm never hungry when I wake up, so the first meal isn't 'til lunch. Then I realize I'm still hungry, and will eat at 3:00. Those hold me off 'til about 9:00 PM, but I'm starving then. Of course, that's just *usually*. There'll be days when I won't eat at all, or where I'll be so hungry that I'll eat every hour, practically. I just eat when I'm hungry - if I eat any differently, I'll end up too fat or too skinny.
