Someone brought this up today this evening, that I should start selling my photos.

Ebay was mentioned. This route?

What?

I have no clue!

I have seen people selling large, framed prints at the festivals around here. Does your city ever have events where there are large numbers of artists selling things in booths on a street or in a park?

Mac,

Do you mean sell them as prints, framed or matted, in a retail market? Or do you mean sell them -- as in sell rights to them for use in magazines, calendars, etc.?

If the latter, run to your local bookstore and pick up "The 2004 Photographers Market" book as a guide. It will answer most of your questions about selling photos for profit, and your rights 9(copyright, etc.) that are affect. Tells you which companies like to get submissions to look at, and which ones don't.

Just go the normal route. Buy a catchy website address, and charge $1.99 a month for membership. Maybe show some of the less racy pics as a sort of teaser, or offer a free trial membership.

Seriously, the 'net is making a lot of girls out there a lot of money, and you're missing out.

The ebay route:

You just use their online tools to set up the sale. I would set either a minimum bid or a reserve price so you don't end up selling your work for less than you want.

You could list it under the "Self-Representing Artists" category of the Art section.

I wouldn't expect a lot of money that way though.
