I think there was another thread like this, but as I can't find it I'm starting a new one!
Today, at work, I'm going through lead sheets and calling people. Then, all of a sudden, I come upon the funniest sheet I've ever seen. Who am I supposed to call next? You guessed it: G. Funk.
No, not George Funk, or Garry Funk, or even Greg Funk. This man's name is G PERIOD Funk!
Now, he didn't answer the phone. But I couldn't help imagining him answering the phone, and me asking "Hello, is G. Funk in the house?"
What are the little things that make your days worth while?

Now surely the G stands for something! I hope you reach this person and tell us. I mean, is he "funky" like in a disco way or is he just "in a funk" all the time.
Or is he just the happiest guy on the planet?
My little thing is laughing at my dog. She's a hoot. She banged on the wall in her sleep, woke up and went barking around the house trying to figure out what made that noise!!!

Today in church I had a sudden revelation about lunch. That's a really sad thing to have a revelation about... I guess I should pay more attention.
But I came home and made the lunch and it was fabulous. I cut up chicken breasts and breaded them with cornmeal and thyme and chili powder and onion powder and fried them in good old-fashioned shortening.
Then people came over and brought food and we had a huge meal.
Huge meals always make my day better.

What was the topic of your revelation about lunch? That you should have some, or that you should invite people, or that you should use cumin?
Posted by Annie (Member # 295) on :
That I should use thyme, actually. And what a revelation! Mmmmm, boy.

Sounds like it was just in thyme too!
I think you've also proven that religion is the spice of life.

'Scuse me while I strangle Bob.

So, for mack, one of the little joys in life is strangling people. While I respect that, please mack, no strangling in my thread.

Don't worry, I took it outside.

i was just talking to somebody about the little things the other day and how i used to make Lists O' Glee where i would list simple things. one of my all time favorites. being first at a red light (not to be confused with being stuck at a light that went from yellow to red just to piss me off)
