Olivet, you're a MILF? [Eek!]

Posted by Trogdor the Burninator (Member # 4894) on :

Olivet, first off, you need to tell us what MILF means.

Second, if it means what I think it means, and you're mad at someone named NOAH, then is there a web page we can go to to um, .. get mad at Noah too?

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

Trogdor, it means Mother I'd Like to...

Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :

He knows, Kat... he knows...

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

Oh, sorry.

Uh, he did ask.

That's shocking! Mommies are for hugs!

I'm just wondering why Olivet is posting and protesting the same thread . . .

Posted by Anti-Chris (Member # 4452) on :

Best not to try to figure this out....

Posted by Trogdor the Burninator (Member # 4894) on :

Oh, and Olivia, I was just kidding...

But, you DO need to give us some more information.

Posted by Storm Saxon (Member # 3101) on :

Well, we can infer that Noah has good taste.

*am wondering how many people who didn't know what MILF stands for googled the term and hopes none of them were minors* [Wink]

Disclaimer: Am over the age of 21 - way over - and I already knew what it stands for. [Smile]

Isn't it interesting how SPAM has raised the cultural literacy. (Well, at least that's the only way *I* know what that term means.)

Posted by Olivet (Member # 1104) on :

Okay, so I told Ron the 'going to see LiT' story on the way to B'ham to see his Grandmother yesterday. I included the bit about wanting to die when the etickets commercial came on, etc.

I also told him that Jeremy tried to tell me something that Noah said about me, but I didn't understand it. I thought he said that Noah said I was a moof or a woof or something. I felt really bad because I thought he was telling people I was a dog or something. I mean, I was sitting a theater to see Lost in Translation in a LOTR dress. I was feeling very stupid and vulnerable.

Anyway, I had also told Ron about lots of other things about WenchCon and jokes that emerged from it and whatnot, but he hadn't heard this one before.

"Could it have been MILF?"

(pause) "Yes. Yess, I'm sure that's what it was. What does it mean?"

(He tells me.)

"That little Sh--!"

Now, I don't curse a lot. I do curse, but not so much that i'd be comfortable in a Stephen King novel. Anyway, Ron thought it was funny, because he likes the idea of being married to a MILF. He's heard the term a lot, it being fairly common among his ex-coworkers. He was glad I didn't know whaty it meant when I heard it, because he would have expected me to hit somebody, cry, or both.

But in any case, my innital reaction was a somewhat comical mixture of feeling flattered and feeling very angry. *snort*

This thread was meant to be light-hearted, though, since I know that in the world Noah lives in it's meant to be a complimentand I'm sure I'm not the only one at WenchCon refferred to as such.

Mark was right. [Wave] It would have been better if I had not known, but I choose not to take offense.

Noah, However, is now a BILS (Boy I'd Like to Strangle), but you know, only in fun. [Wink]

I know that song. I don't like it for it's music quality, but the song is funny.

"She's all I want, and I've waited so long..."

Posted by sndrake (Member # 4941) on :

I have good self-restraint. Really I do.

Right now, there's a thread that looks like it will be one where Valentine's Day poetry is shared.

I did NOT post the following on the thread:

"I'm trying to write a poem, too.
But I'm stuck right now.
What rhymes with MILF?"

But I had to post it somewhere. [Evil]

Posted by Olivet (Member # 1104) on :

Okay, forget the acronyms, as they only seem to get me in more trouble. [Big Grin]

However, I owe him a serious wedgie.

Kat, that's every guy's dream. Getting a wedgie from a woman he considers attractive.

[Razz]

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

Okay, I have no idea how to take that.

<--- never given anyone, male or female, a wedgie

Posted by zgator (Member # 3833) on :

You might want to talk to someone about your dreams there, Nick. A professional someone.

Posted by T. Analog Kid (Member # 381) on :

BTW, for those of you trying to figure out what song to download, it's "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne.

It's one of the funnier ones I've ever heard...

Particularly nice (IMO) is the 60s throwback chord progression on:
"Stacey can't you see
You're just not the girl for me?"

Posted by Nick (Member # 4311) on :

I was being sarcastic. If a woman gave me a wedgie, I would have serious doubts about pursuing her for dating. [Smile]

EDIT: Man, if you're serious all the time, you can't ever joke can you? I was kidding people! [Razz]

Well, I guess I get a little defensive when people say I need to go to proffesional couselors ect. They make me extremely uncomfortable. [Dont Know]

Posted by zgator (Member # 3833) on :

So you say that makes you feel uncomfortable. Tell me more about that, Nick.

[Smile] This brings back fond memories of the "doctor" program a bunch of used to access on the university system back about ten years ago. You'd type in responses to it's program and it would give you a fairly good facsimile of a second-rate therapy session (and free!).

The point, though, was to type in enough really absurd answers to cause the program to devolve into total gibberish. Anything like that still out there?

Posted by Da_Goat (Member # 5529) on :

I thought the "MILF" thing was from American Pie...

See what you guys miss when you don't have typical teenagers as friends?

I'm shocked! [Eek!]

truly, truly shocked! [No No]

And I'm laughing so hard I had to go away and come back later to post!!!

Zan...BILS... [ROFL]

So, Olivet, what would you have done had you known what MILF meant as he said that to you?

I mean, in a way, it's kind of a compliment, in a dirty-young-man kind of way.

And really! What kind of pickup line is that anyway?

Posted by CalvinMaker (Member # 2032) on :

I've been debating about whether to post in this thread or not.

(sigh)

Allow me to clarify my actions:

I used the word "MILF" for lack of a better word, as well as for a humoristic effect. I didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable, or hurt anyone's feelings, which is why I had asked those few people I mentioned it to to keep it quiet. (Which obviously didn't happen.)

It's my own fault for saying the damn thing though, and I'll suffer the consequences. I apologize if I hurt anyone.

Posted by dawnmaria (Member # 4142) on :

Noah,
It doesn't sound like anyone is hurt. Most people that have met you will know you wouldn't want to hurt anybody. And I for one have enjoyed this thread so much I feel I might want to thank you in a weird kind of way! [Big Grin]

CalvinMaker, I just thought it was funny.

Besides, if Olivet was *really* upset, I'm sure she wouldn't have told the whole of Hatrack about it...

Posted by Olivet (Member # 1104) on :

Exactly.

I was just razzin' ya, dude. I knew that, from your pov, it was a humorous thing to say and meant to be complimentary. [Big Grin] [Razz]

So, NYAH
