Essentially, a group of quite prominent scientists made a study of the Bush administration's dealing with science -- and found, unsurprisingly to some, that the Bush administration could care less what's scientific, but only what agrees with its policy goals, and consistently suppressed evidence and disbanded groups which dared to disagree with those goals.

I like the part where the White House spokesperson says "I assure you this is an Administration that makes decisions based on the best available science."

"best, meaning it supports us"
