Whatever happened with that prospective new job? Did you decide to pursue it, or stay with your current position?

Also, anything new with the guy in your church who was your sister's boyfriend when you were a kid?

New job --

I have a FORMAL interview at noon today for it. I had previously talked to the supervisor of that area informally and found out a few details about it to see whether or not I wanted to go through the formal process of applying for consideration in that department.

(the guys at work are giving me heck for dressing up today -- something I rarely do in PC Support)

The wheels turn slowly in this corporation -- it may be many more days before I know anything.

Guy at church -- had lunch with him and his wife. Had a good conversation. That seemed to be what was needed to "unhitch" the past in my mind and associate him only with the present. I will always have brotherly fondness for him, for sure, but I can now stand to treat him and talk to him like anyone else. It broke the ice.

That's great, on both fronts! Good luck in the interview!

*sends good thoughts FG's way*

Good Luck on the interview, and thanks Noemon for bringing this up. I had been wondering the same thing.

Formal interview went very well. I basically controlled the whole interview because I got the vibes early on that this supervisor just really hated doing interviews (and since I was a journalist for 15 years, it was a piece of cake for me). So I went away from it feeling like she felt good about it, and I feel good about it.

And I won't know anything until near the end of the month.

Wow, that was a quick interview! Glad it went so well!

Well - I said noon. Actually I meant my lunch hour -- and my lunch time begins at 11:30. I actually met with her right at that time.

But yes, it was a fairly quick interview -- because we have covered a lot of the territory in our prior conversation about what the job entailed. Now it was just a matter of selling myself as the right person for the job.

Oh my gosh Farmgirl! You're selling yourself? [Eek!] What kind of job are you applying for?

I thought selling yourself was only legal in Nevada. [Wink] You know, at places like the Mustang Ranch. j/k Farmgirl. The mustang Ranch was seized by the IRS for tax evasion.

Hmmm.. and just how is it that you are familiar with the Mustang Ranch and their latest escapades, Derrell???? Hmm????

Fargirl, I guess I should have posted my previous post right after zgator posted. I really hope you don't take offense. That's why I never post in the serious threads, for fear of offending someone or getting ripped to shreds.

You wouldn't rip me to shreds, would you Farmgirl? [Wink]

I heard about it on the news. I've never been there.

Apparently, for the right price, she just might.

So now we know Derrell isn't just into brothels, but S/M too. [Razz]

Of course, in order to rip me to shreds, she'd have to travel to Arizona. I wonder if she charges extra for that? [Big Grin] [Wink] [Wink]

Good luck, FG!

zgator, I suppose you're going to put this in the out of context thread. Oh well. I don't think I've ended up there yet.

Farmgirl, I really hope you have a sense of humor.

Of course I have a sense of humor, Derrell! After all -- look at the group I work with!

However, I might have to reconsider that ripping to shreds thing if you can't learn to spell Farmgirl right. "Fargirl" just seems to mean something totally different....

Oops, sorry about that, Farmgirl. I guess you would need a sense of humor to put up with the people you work with, and all of us.

Please forgive me. [Hail] FG

By the way Farmgirl, I noctice you haven't posted in my landmark thread. [Razz]
