I have bean severely limited to my time on Hatrack for the last 6 months because my company internet access turned into a restrictive intranet with no outside access. But as my company teeters on the verge of being acquired, it seems as if someone in IT-land decided to have some fun and lift the internet access restrictions.
I do not know how long this will last, but I intend to make full use of my time here. Most excellent was when I typed with quivering fingers to log on, and Hatrack responded, "Hello, Alucard..."
I grinned like a fool!

Sadly, when at the top, the only place to go is down.
But seriously, can you imagine coming into work for 6 months straight and saying, "Well, looks like no internet access today either." I sort of surprised myself with my own persistence, but then again, I am easily amused.

The family is doing very well! Our recent move over the last 6 months has been a very big change, and living in the country has had more surprises than I expected.
Still, I am very fortunate at how things have panned out and hope to be more of a contributor in the days, weeks, and months to come. Hatrack is full of new names and I can't wait to see what has been happening.
Otherwise, feel free to ask or share any information that I can help with in the realm of pharmacy, as the door is always open!

I'm actually pretty informed now about my meds.
There's just way too many, in my opinion. Lamictal, Gabitril, Lexapro, Ritalin LA, Minocin, Protonix. *sigh*
Titrating off the Gabitril next month though. YEAY!
It seems the meds are KILLING my teeth though. Even with good dental habits (brushing twice a day, flossing, regular cleanings) I had eight freaking cavities this time.
Dentist said it's the drymouth.
*mutter grumble*
And Ritalin kills my appetite. Then 11 hours after I take it, I'm exhausted and grumpy for an hour, then perk back up.
Silly dopamine.

Ah yes. The Gabitril is most likely the culprit in the increased dental carries, and not necessarily due to dry mouth. BTW the Lamictal will also increase dry mouth symptoms as well.

Literature from the manufacturer (Abbott) lists adverse reactions of dental carries and gingival and gum hyperplasia as side effects you may encounter!

I do have internet in my house, but I recently bought an estate that absorbs nearly all of my time at home. I have 2 kids, and the only time I could seriously sit down and post is in the wee hours of the morning, and I usually defer to watching TV and reading then. Unfortunately, the only time I spend on my computer is messing around with iTunes (which rocks) or playing Starcraft/Age of Mythology...
As far as where I live, I live almost directly between Pittsburgh and Erie. We recently got 10 inches of snow, and yesterday, I couldn't even leave the house, so I spent most of the day catching up on projects. I still have an entire floor (approx 2200 square feet of space) to finish off in my house, and it calls to me like a siren song...

Mac, I would attribute the duration of effect to tolerance. Over time, your body is simply generating more neuroreceptors to accept methylphenidate. Unfortunately, the most common action is to increase the dose. I am not sure if anyone knows why some patients "level out" at one dose and seem to experience no more "tolerance" to a medication. Another case of just how amazing the human body is and how little we truly understand!

The thing that hit me most about the concerts was the fact that all the "hot" girls were semi-modestly clothed, while all the really funky ones were half- to nearly-naked.
The butt-cleavage! The humanity! My EYES!
And the MINUTE my husband went into the pit I was hit on about thirty times. I mean, me. The marijuana went to their heads quickly that night.

Sometimes the best place to hide is in plain sight...
I am still having major computer problems at work, and the best I can figure is that the horrendously cheap browser we have at work (based on Netscape) is majorly wonky. I am by no means a computer expert, but our system is an enix-based system with one central tower and several keyboards and maxspeed hub terminals. Just ripe for huge incompatibility issues.
For example, I cannot access hatrack by adressing my browser to go to hatrack.com, but I can get here by searching on google or yahoo and then clicking the link. The wonkiness is unbearable, yet I'd suffer all sorts of idiosyncracies to get here.
