I used to have a home network setup.

I moved.

I've had the whole thing re-set up for a week. It never worked.

Today, I decided to get out the CD-ROM installation program and start over.

It didn't work.

I rebooted. It still didn't work.

Then, my machine crashed with the giant blue screen of death.

Guess what???

I turned it back on and everything works.

I'm networked baby!

Like a networkin' fool!

Whoop!

In your face Internet!

Of course, now I'm afraid to shut off my computer.

:: laughs :: don't you love how that happens? Windows networking has confused me to all hell, you don't know exactly what it's doing...at least under linux when I tell it something, I know what I'm telling it to do. [Razz]

Well, crud!

My laptop's wireless networking isn't recognizing the network correctly. It sees "something" out there, but is misidentifying it and won't connect.

Shoot!

I've tried MAC addressing, but that's all working fine. (the network has the correct MAC address for the wireless card).

Shoot!

I hate this stuff.

Calling all networking gurus!!!

:-P. That's hilarious. I cannot believe the number of times I've accidently turned off the computer while working on it (I liked to play with the power cords with my toes ... bad, bad Karen) and it's somehow righted itself.

(Probably about 1/2 the number of times it's gotten worse)

Tom says to disable all security including MAC addressing to see if that is your issue. You can worry about re-restricting access once you have access.

Tom is currently "building" me a nice kitchen island while I surf on the net. *grin* I love husbands.

Tell Tom thanks! I'll give it a whirl!

Good luck on the kitchen and the multiple husbands.
