Steve and I have become somewhat addicted to Bravo TV. We used to be addicted to HBO's Sopranos, but that kind of faded the last couple of seasons. We also know we can always rent the DVDs so it doesn't have the sense of urgency. We realized we weren't watching the movie channels so we just cancelled our HBO-Skinemax package. Used to watch West Wing too, but that has kinda faded as well. Watched the first season of 8 Simple Rules religiously, but it has faded without John Ritter, I don't even know what time it airs. The few episodes I saw without Ritter were decently funny but they reshuffled the viewing time which ticks me off.

I have always occasionally watched inside the Actors Studio. What I didn't realize was that Steve has started watching it when I'm not there. He saw the Johnny Depp interview and said it was great. I'm jealous. I'll have to wait for a re-run.

Then Queer Eye for the Straight Guy came along. Steve yelled at me for eating a cheese platter in the wrong order yesterday as a result. QEFTSG says that you are supposed to eat your way around from the mildest to the sharpest. It actually did work well on the tastebuds.

Now our actual favorite is Keen Eddie. I know it is shared with the BBC somewhat. The situations are so obviously contrived and surreal with an American Detective in England, and yet the show works, due to the strength of all the quirky characters. We are divided whether we want Eddie to hook up with his neurotic but beautiful flatmate, or Miss Moneypenney the Scotland Yard director's secretary who he has interesting erotic hallucenations about.

Coupling is also absolutely hysterical in the few episodes we've watched, but we haven't seen as many due to timing.

The have their re-runs nicely spaced out so that you can get missed episodes, but not so redundant that you get sick of them. They also have the West Wing re-runs where we can catch missed episodes of that as well.

Am I the only one out there in Hatrack land that likes Bravo?

I have long argued that Coupling, (The BBC version) is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. They intricacies of the comedic timing are great. But I thought that was a BBCA show.

I haven't seen Keen Eddie. I'm afraid it would become another addiction.

But yes, I am a Bravo fan.

To give you an example:

Last night they had a QEftSG that I had only seen the very end of before. Watched that all the way through. Then last week's Keen Eddie. Didn't watch it again, but took the dogs for a run. Made it back, precisely in time to watch the new Keen Eddie episode!

That's why I like this Bravo addiction. It isn't quite as consuming as others can be. They make it so you can take breaks and actually get other stuff done!

Major Queer Eye fan here, and I;ve started watching "Significant Others." I'll also tune into "Actors Studio" but only if it doesn't conflict with a new Simpsons.

I _love_ Keen Eddie and Significant Others. I loved the episode where his flatmate decided she was taking a "me week" and started going nuts because she _had_ to have a certain color toaster, and they kept sending her the wrong one. [Razz]

That toaster episode was wonderful!
