That’s right! Science Symposium mafia is starting up shortly, and you need to post a profile now! Simply follow this link and post your profile.

Anyone can play! It doesn’t matter if you haven’t played before.

If you have questions about the game, the main mafia forum is here, I’ve pinned all the threads that have useful information on playing. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me. [Smile]

Please play, as of right now, there aren’t enough people to play, and I don’t want this to be my second mod opportunity scrapped due to lack on interest. [Frown]

Maybe put mafia in the title of the thread... just a suggestion. Also that you don't have to know anything about scientists. I hope no one is feeling daunted by having to compose a bio.

You never did answer my question about Watson and Crick. Should I assume that was a "no"? One isn't the same without the other, after all.

Sorry, I thought you were joking. I'll tell you what, you can post both charecter profiles and under both names, but only one of them will actually be in it (you can choose which one).

In other words, no one gets to count as two people, but you can create a second charecter for fun. (If your main charecter dies, no serious posting through the other one, no deciphering clues or giving hints or revealing information after your main one is dead).

Fair enough?

That's pretty much exactly what I meant, I just wanted the other guy to good off with (within the same posts, usually) but only one of them would really count.

Huzzah! I'll toss it up sometime this weekend.

Dang! I knew there was something I was forgetting to do! Oops! I'll get it up by tomorrow night! [Smile]

hobbes,

how much time is required to actively play this game?

It depends. You need to vote everytime you can which will happen no more often than once every two days (you can miss two votes in a row without having it seriously affect you, but it's better if you vote each time). Votting should involve analysis of the given clues and refrence to what others think of the game, but if you are in a serious crunch I should say no more than half an hour every two days would suffice (though not be optimal). If you want to really get into it you can spend many hours each day but that is most certainly not required to play.

ok. cool.

What is the objective of the game? I tried the mafia thing once and ended up dead before I had a sense I knew what was going on or what I should try to accomplish?

It's finals season, hobbes. I'll have to take a mafia sabbatical.

psh! Finals season? That is all the more reason to play a game of mafia! You need a daily break from the studying! What would mafia be without you, Ashley? [Cry]

(Oh, and I'm just being a brat. You are a stronger person than I to refuse a game due to school work. [Smile] )

As much as I'd like to redeem myself for being "the girl who trusted Celia Waaaay too much", I will abstain.

Besides, I won't be in town for too much longer. I'm going home at about the 22nd. I might not last that long, but I don't want to risk it.

Yikes! I completely forgot again! (How one forgets in 24 hours I can't really understand...) I have to run to class right now, but if it's not too late I can write up a profile when I get home from classes today! (about 4:30 MST)

Is it too late? [Frown]
