And to think that Storm Saxon inspired it all.

*quietly reflects*

...and I'm only mildly embarrassed that 2 of those were mine... [Razz]

Oh the humanity.

A plague on all your houses [Frown] .

Someone give me my hatrack back!

Dobie's were funny.

They were funny because it was only one every month or so.

This is not funny.

This makes me want to VOMIT.

Imagine if someone came to the forum today? Was checking it out to see if it was a cool place. Maybe he was intelligent and would have brought a lot to the forum. Perhaps he was driven away by glimpses us at our worst.

And this IS our worst.

If someone I knew had visited the forums for the first time he would wonder what I saw in it. That when I said it wasn't like the typical message board, that I was wrong. That we're nothing special.

And right now I am like to agree with that.

Boon, this is the embarrassed smilie [Blushing] <--also contributed 2

Edit cuz I can't even spell blushing right.

Oh, what will people think?

Who will think of the children? [Wink]

And again, my thread came first. This came second.

Xavier, relax. The people on the forum who participated in this had fun. We bonded.

It was like, Woodstock, man!

Posted by Bob the Lawyer (Member # 3278) on :

Were there wedgies at Woodstock?

I'm hoping there were, because I think a number of people have earned a wedgie.

And some as many as two.

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Kama, its the number of posts, not who was first, that really matters.

Although, keep your chicagocon deal and I'll consider deleting it.

[Big Grin]
It was fun, but it's over now. We can breathe and act "normal" again.

Posted by pooka (Member # 5003) on :

T, I'm pretty sure it's spelled Chaka Khan.

Posted by Kama (Member # 3022) on :

I do not bow to blackmail.

Posted by Boon (Member # 4646) on :

Bring it on, Bob. I'll accept the consequences of my actions. [Big Grin]

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

It's not blackmail if you get a lot of out it!

Posted by Annie (Member # 295) on :

If that's true, then my dobie wins.

*waits for prize*

Posted by sndrake (Member # 4941) on :

Dunno what the big deal is.

Sure, it means the REALLY important threads, like DS9, get pushed to the second page, but that's no big deal, is it?

Is it? What am I saying? [Eek!]

Cut it out! [Mad]
*shakes fist*

Seriously, what's the fuss - been too busy to be part of this, but was amazed at the spurt of spontaneous one-upmanship in the silly department.

Not a bad thing at all...

Kinda liking being able to come in here to find some silliness. [Smile]

Maybe we need another heated socio-political debate on a controversial issue that gets everybody nice and riled up.

Posted by peterh (Member # 5208) on :

As creator of the first dobie of storm's thread, I humbly apologize. If I had known what was coming today, I would have refrained.

Not bad for my first dobie though.

I don't know whether to feel like Papa Smurf or Charles Manson.

*farts in everyone who made a dobie of his thread's general direction just on principle*

I just saw them all lined up in a perfect row. I've never been tempted to do a Prt Scr before, till now.

Posted by St. Yogi (Member # 5974) on :

I Print Screened it and saved it a while ago. It was so beautiful [Cry]

*shakes fist*

Do y'all just WAIT until days I'm not here to do these things?

You do, don't you! [Cry]

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

rivka, just set up a date in advance and I'm sure you'll find many willing participants to do this again.

*ducks the pie from Xavier.*

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

How sweet! [Smile] The thing is, these sort of things tend to work best when spontaneous.

So maybe it would be better if I ask for certain days to be avoided instead? [Wink]

Mmmm, dobies. When someone says Hatrack, I think "Dobie".

Hatrack. Dobie. Hatrack. Dobie.

Maybe this isn't such a good thing.

How do you do this?

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Up by f12, it says Print Screen. After this, just paste it into a program that can handle it and save.

Posted by Raia (Member # 4700) on :

Thanks, T! [Smile]

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Yah..I used to [Roll Eyes] dobies.

But come on people....lighten up.

They can be funny.

Sometimes.

Can't they?

Posted by T_Smith (Member # 3734) on :

Yes, they can. In moderation. Not floods.

I think folks have to be wearing underwear before the wedgies can commence. Speaking generally of the average woodstocker and not the average Jatraquero.

I believe it's just funny to the poster and a few others.

I certainly have never gotten as much enjoyment out of seeing them pop up everywhere and reading them, as I have from actually making one.

Well then I should add these as well.

I'd also like to point out that a dobie from yesterday went to two pages and garnered 56 posts.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

[Hat] to Punwit's dobie that blossomed into a fun thread.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Besides, the dobies and related threads about the dobies (of which there were more, I think) certainly swept the front page clean.
