I don't remember the name of the thread to bump. But I was wondering what (or if anything) had happened with the association that was putting all sorts of unreasonable demands on the kid in the wheelchair.

Haven't seen anything in the paper recently but I haven't been reading it dilligently either.

AJ,

I haven't heard an update - I'll ask around today. I've been kind of cloistered in a secular sort of way. [Wink]

On the bright side, I've been talking to interesting people all over the country and in Canada. [Smile]

(gotta go send a nasty fax to a touchy-feely religious-oriented magazine right now. I'll go find an atheist to tick off later to restore cosmic balance. Shouldn't be difficult.)

Jeez, if I really want to tick off an agnostic, all I got to do is heap ridicule and scorn on myself.

I pride myself on being an equal opportunity ticker-offer of the ecumenical variety. [Smile]

Sometime in the next few days, after the current flurry of phone calls, emails and faxes, I will find a time between filling out my short tax forms and DS9 episodes to do a real rant of a movie review.

To make things worse, last Friday when I went to see this monstrosity, The Triplets of Belleville was also playing at the same theater. I didn't get to see that. [Grumble]

You can generally tell it's been a busy week for me when I stick almost entirely to fluff threads.

BTW, good to see you back, CT. [Wave]

Does Canada need equal-opportunity ecumenical ticking off?

I know some good people there for that - and they are all in the disability community. It's not that they go looking for opportunities - it's just that there have been many opportunities in Canada for colleagues to ridicule folks of just about all political and religious pursuasions.

It's not as fun as I make it out of course - you really do begin to understand where the Irish cry of "Ourselves Alone" came from. [Frown]

I think we do, yes. And it's so easy to tick us off that it shouldn't be hard. If being offended and indignant were an Olympic sport, we'd probably win more medals.
