I'm pretty sure this question is unrelated to anything that has been discussed her before:

Why did Maori Television not investigate a local company's offer to lease an already established Auckland television studio and equipment at a fraction of the cost, instead of using a new studio with new equipment on some of the most expensive land in Auckland?

There is a good explanation, but it is a bit complicated and basically boils down to The Loch Ness Monster told them to.
