So it's old Howard Stern news. But what caught my attention was this :

Does Bush really have it in personally for Howard Stern?

Or is it more indirect? Does the Bush administration have something to do with the FCC cracking down on rules that have not been enforced before? Isn't this a good thing?

It is really gratifying to know that the executive head of state has it in for you. I mean, what bigger response could you ask for than that? Kind of sucky to get fired over it but heck, still got work and can get a couple of good book deals out of it to boot. Heck, maybe even a political career. Cut the hair, clean up the act a bit, name has recognition power... It was all just a shtick anyway.

Might I remind if Howard Stern was talentless he wouldnt be so popular... He obviously didnt get that high through money like Bush did...

I thought Stern was only off the air on the Clear Channel stations? [Dont Know]

Either way, what'll probably happen is that another station in one of the markets where Stern was taken off the air (you can still listen to him live in Phoenix) will come in and snatch him up (and watch their ratings go up as a result).

I would not necessarily equate popularity with talent, or else Paris Hilton would be the most talented woman on this planet. [Wink]
