Pssh don't bother opening it up, they totally got it all wrong.

I thought they were supposed to bite each other on the cheek, not kiss. Psh. Stupid hyoo-mons.

Yeah, and she's totally not even wearing the right dress!

kat... I've known people like that. I've seen the picture album. (Never went to the wedding though.)

But, if they were so inclined, Bob_S and dkw could do a theme wedding where they dressed up as their favorite character in one of Card's books. [Razz] They could dress up as Moose and Squirrel. (Our Moose and Squirrel not the cartoon characters, although that would be interesting as well.) Just kidding... no really... I am. [Wink]

Jon Boy and Nathan, you do realize you are amking yourselves sound geekier than the folks in the picture?

Perhaps you should stop and think of whether this is a good thing?

Edit:

Well, the wedding dress is a little low-cut and sleeveless, but I certainly wouldn't call it nudity.

You're not still going to be living in content-filtered dorms next year, are you?

No way. No more second-class cafeteria food, no more lack-of-places-to-sit, no more cinderblock walls, no more wondering what the freaking heck Pat was trying to link me to. Woo!

It just so happens that I found a place that has the Bible translated into Klingon, downloadable for free.

[No No] [ROFL] [No No]

If we're going trek, we should do a betazed wedding. [Cool]

Small observation: Don't they look just thrilled on their wedding day?

It looks like they're at a funeral, not a wedding

Klingon Marriage

Worf: "Blood, pain, sacrifice, anguish, and death."

Bashi: "Sounds like marriage all right."

Chief: "How would you know?"

Why don't they get married in the National Cathedral, under the benevolent gaze of Darth Vader?

wanna know what's weird? I'm at the JKHB mac lab, not 200 yards away from my dorm room, and I can get the website here. Weeeeerd.

The major problem with this Klingon wedding is that I can tell the difference between the women and the men.

[Laugh]

. . . can tell the difference . . . .

Who wants to be married on the dark, gloomy moors with Pat Benatar's "Heathcliff" playing in the background . . . ?

Posted by lcarus (Member # 4395) on :

Of course, I'm the last one who should say anything about geek weddings . . . .

No, scratch that--you all are the last ones who should say anything . . . [No No]

True.

My wedding vow is going to be:

One ring to rule them all
one ring to bind them...

Naughty boy - this is a FAMILY forum -

*laughs*

My husband wants to have a ceremony to celebrate our 10th anniversary...a renewal of our vows. He wants to hold it in Japan in the woods (if there are any left) and hire dudes to dress up like ninjas and jump around in the trees. He wants us to dress up like ninjas, too.

I'm so lucky. [Big Grin]
