A college friend is running it as we speak. In fact, he should be hitting heartbreak hill (the hardest section of the course) any minute now.

There's a good tailwind. but temps are near 90 (very bad). If you want to track him, go to the tracking feature on http://www.bostonmarathon.com/ and enter bib #2931.

Still waiting to see his 30km time, and heartbreak is at km 34, so he is hitting the hills of Newton, 7 hills, 20+ miles in.

I just saw him on TV (two stations cover the first 3 or 4 hours here in Boston). He was on heartbreak hill, and still running (which is a good thing). He is going to be disappointed with his time a bit, but we'll see where he ends up.
